Get a pulley from Kleemann and it will increase the boost on your supercharger. You should get 30-40 hp for $900. And it's a lot easier and probably more reliable than adding a turbo. Then you can add a Renntech intercooler after that to deal with the increased boost and temperatures.

possibly, but a turbo would also.

Actually, by law, they cannot void your warranty unless you have a problem and they can prove that your problem was caused by the aftermarket part. But even without a problem or proof, some dealers will give you a hard time about mods, so just be careful with what you do.

The car is already forced induction. Are you looking to ADD a turbo to the existing setup, or replace the supercharger with a Turbo?

A pulley will give you a serious boost in power with very little work and cost involved.

However, if you are considering spending 3gs, replacing the roots supercharger with a lysholm screw type supercharger will really increase power, even at the same boost level. The Lysholm is more efficient and doesn't heat the air as much as the Roots type supercharger used onthe C230.

You do realize that this car already has a supercharger, right? I'd try a pulley before anything else if I were you.

The turbo conversion...that's gonna be a strictly one off setup...you'll need a tuner to pull it off properely. The manifold will have to be custom, and there's debate as to wether or not the ECU will adapt to the turbo, or require a stand alone engine management setup.

The Lysholm conversion is being done by KLEEMAN.

Listen to these people. Try the other methods they have mentioned and see what you think. In my opinion you're going to spend alot more than $3000 if you attempt to add a turbo, not to mention you will probably have other costs, like replacing your engine when it blows up. Even though the 2.3 is a very reliable engine, unless you do this through an experience Mercedes tuner, you're bound to have problems. In the long run you'll have a project car that is only worth dumping money into if you have lots of it to spare, and don't care about depreciation. I don't know about you guys but anytime I see a heavily modded car for sale I have alot of quesitons to ask. Probably would never be able to trade it in either. The older I get the more I start to sound like my dad

turbocharging a c230 would be great but you will need to have a standalone EMS, upgrade injectors and the best parts to insure your benz dont blow up.

i'll put a price of 6k on the job plus install, tuning and clearing the CEL's from your OBD system
