Paint or Vinyl
always loved your ideas, but i agree with leaving it white. i feel like a bunch of people black out their roof and thus the idea is getting a bit old.
on the other hand, if you did a custom cf roof overlay, the real stuff, that would be hella sweet. lol good luck! make your decision soon so we can all see!
ps. i still think you shouldn't give up on the turbo. lol
nope it was a very expensive job on a show vehicle. the flat finish has a clear. its the clear that creates the "flat finish". a real flat finish car is very hard to take of in general since you cant use wax or scratch removers. its one of those "you have to baby" type paintjobs. thats why a lot of companies now are using the flat finish vinyl wraps on their cars now instead. the car can go back to stock undamaged easily.
Oh and guys... You should really listen to Quad. He's like super mega super A+ #1 star in the car industry. He's just keeping it on the low here. Wherever he goes, he's showered with free parts and race queens are thrown into his hotel windows.
Sorry if I blew your cover Mike, but damn, you and your vehicles get more media than a Lindsay Lohan nip-slip.

When I was in my Fantasy Land and wanted to matte black the whole car I took off the benz emblem and broke it.
I ordered one on ebay. It should be here soon.Up next Euro Impact Strips
Should I tint the car? What do you guys think?

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Sounds good Mike, I'll definitely need it. I know a guy who does all 5 for 120 but you know what kind of tint it is going to be for 120

I'm not going to go the cheap route ever again. I ordered an ebay wing till now I am trying to make the fitment better. With all the time and effort I put I could have bought 2 OEM AMG wings
Give California Tint in Rosemead a call. Ask for Peter. Tell him Mike from NRG told you to call.

When you call, say Mike from TundraPart, not NRG. He'll remember me because we did Tundra for him.

(I still prefer Cali Tint tho)

Thats exactly what i was going to do.. well 30 or 35 all around. how much did you pay for your tint? and who did it?

who has the pics from the meet last night?
For what it's worth though, I personally like 35% tint. I think it looks classy and clean. 20% starts to look too dark, especially in contrast with the rest of your white car. If you have a black interior, it really helps the tint look darker as well.
Be really careful of who does the tint...I had a nightmare situation where I had to replace my entire back window with electronics because they got fried from the soapy water during the tint installation. BUT you probably already know this!
