C320->C32 AMG

well one bar is about 14.5 psi, and the c32 which is an upgraded m112 is i think 18psi or so? so those upgrades wether cam shafts, pistons, pistons rod,..etc can no way be an excessive of 10 more psi if 8 is pushing safety. Plus mercedes will claim its lower max potential just to be on the safe side, but i dont know . Honestly im unsure, ill have to do some research when i get the s/c too.

The supercharger on the C32 is 14psi and the engine's compression is 9.0:1 (keep in mind it has better internals too). People do a pulley upgrade and run into problems even with a tune. So if the m112 is 10.0:1 I don't think it's possible to run anywhere close to 20psi. not even a bar. But that's just my opinion.
Good read on the C32 http://www.insideline.com/mercedes-b...z-c32-amg.html

it also says : The supercharger also features an electromagnetic coupling that allows the supercharger to disengage during partial load conditions. With the supercharger disengaged, the engine operates purely as a normally aspirated engine, thereby reducing fuel consumption, exhaust emissions and noise.
will that feature work in mine, does this also mean the c32 is a c320 at normal conditions xD?

Lower compression is good for boosting.
Higher compression is good for NA engines.
That's why AMG lowered the compression and added better/stronger internals. My honest opinion is I don't think the engine can handle anything over 10psi. You might be able to do it but the engine wont last much. 7-8psi is what I would do to be on the safe side and to make the engine last.
Good Luck

With a full pulley system and pretty much all the mods that the c32 community can offer, i top at 23psi (Sometimes I throw a Check Engine, as im maxing out the boost Sensor) For a regular 320..... maybe 10psi, Also, your tranny is different than the amg's Sure it 722.6 (I think thats the number) but there is 5 different versions of it.... and ones for the amg classes as well.... You may get up to 320 or so, But the tranny will start slipping on a normal 320 tranny, Theres a guy on the fourms who boosted a 3.2 Inline motor off a w210 max psi was 10 before the tranny and motor started having issue (Tranny was the 5speed)

2004 S55 (SOLD, miss it every day), 2009 GL550
return the s/c, skip the other mods, get yourself a 5 dollar Type R badge, and slap that bad boy on the back. Good to go!
You could spend fifty grand and still not have a C32, or you could spend less than $20K and have a *real* C32

Damn, this is similar to another post that was just up.
Most recommendations for the aftermarket supercharger on a M112 (non C32) include boost set at only about half a bar. Even the Kleemann kit comes at half a bar.
Again this becomes an issue of price vs benefit. The 320 won't run like a C32 will. I've had to come to that conclusion myself.
At this point, if you can get one, you mite as well swap something interesting into it. Twin charge it or swap it. Karo, got that E55 link handy? lol.
