C230 sport sedan employee discount
does any know how much the mercedes employee discount is? I have two family members both offer me their discount, all i have to do is keep the car in their name for 1 year. They bought a 2001 slk for 17.5% off msrp, but my cousin told me that the discount changes from model to model. But down here in texas the dealers don't know anything about the discount. Does any have any idea of what the discount is on the 2003 c230 sports sedan. My cousin even said that he could get a discount on the amg's.

My employee discount is $100 over dealer invoice for a new car. For a used-car, it's $500 over what the dealer paid for the vehicle, plus smog and safety inspection.

i would like to add that i have a 2002 silver Lexus is300 and i can't ride in it for more than 30min with out my back hurting and there are a lot of rattles starting to appear after 5000 miles. But it is very fun to drive, i hope that the c230 sports sedan will be just as fun. I am going to test drive it tommorow, i drove the 2001 c320 and i wasn't impressed with the soft suspension and thats what kept me from getting it in the first place, but i think the sport model will take care of that nicely.

The discount to DaimlerChrysler employees is 12% off the MSRP. Discounts to employees of dealerships, such as mbtech208, are set by their employers.

Really, it's only 12% of MSRP?? So a DC employee could buy an $85,000 Viper for $10,200? That doesn't sound correct........

Yes, I meant 12% off MSRP. Pardon my typing.
I think the discount on Chryslers is different than that for Mercedes.
The people at the dealer I bought from were told something similar to mbtech208. Sounds like the dealers either aren't informed or are fibbing to their employees.

Lets not forget that most companies do not allow a paperwork or advertisement fee to be tacked on to the employee discount price.

Chrysler Group Discount for MB vehicles is also 12.25%. We get 4-5% off Invoice for Chrysler Group Vehicles.
I still feel I paid too much. Especially since there are huge discounts through today.
By the way, the new C230 Sedan is not yet included in the MB Purchase Plan for Chrysler Group Employees.

i just wanted make some things clear, so for mercedes-benz emploree discount is the discount 12% and nothing more or is it higher? I seen many posts for 12% but only a few for around 20%. Which is the correct answer? Also does anyone know the models that are on the employee purchase program?
