Any recommendations on muffler?

Any recommendations guys?

I have been searching a lot and getting different feedbacks. Magnaflow, borla, etc. But I havent changed my muffler in all my rides and this would be a first for me. Planning just a deep sound nothing to loud. Muffler only. Didn't want to cut the bumper to or anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Something not too expensive but worth it.

This will be my last mod for now.

Thanks guys

^ Yes. Magnaflows offer a deep, throaty gain in sound, especially around the 2500 rpm range. It's also got a nice output at high-end rpms. Magnaflows, like other mufflers will decrease your torque (less back-pressure) and increase your horsepower by freeing up your high-end. These losses and gains are minimal, but you may tack on an extra mile or two on the highway. Just thought you'd like to know!

I couldn't get a hold of a 14815, but I went with a universal exhuast from magnaflow and had a different tip welded on. Same effect, probably not as clean looking.

Done at a local shop, 170 out the door.

Good luck! Magnaflows are your best bang for your buck!

EDIT I thought you'd also like a sound-clip!

Yah, most people go Magnaflow. It can be a bit loud (similar to no muffler) but if you can tolerate it, go for it.
I went a more quiet route. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...anks-guys.html

Get a Remus muffler, it sounds excellent. No drone and can't hear it at crusing RPM. I posted some videos on Youtube of one on my old C230.

It's abit loud and it drones pretty bad too, especially on the highway, but if budget is an issue, then you should go for it considering you don't mind the droning and loud part.

My setup also consists of a deleted resonator, so it's a bit louder than what you will come out with by only welding on the muffler. For me, the drone is everywhere. A resonator probably would help it out.

I had Magnaflow and the stock resonator was never removed, still droning, but less droning probably compared to your setup..

Remus.

It gives a nice mellow, luxury but still sporty sound. Like how high end CL's sound. I've never liked magnaflow because it gives a muscle car sound to everything. IMHO we have Benz's, not muscle, but to each his own.

I've also had alot of luck with bosal exhausts, they have an amazing sound. Check some youtube clips, I think for the benz it might be too loud though.

Yah, the Remus does sound quite nice and it's got a great look to it. Actually, Karo is selling his so you might want to take a look at it.

Thanks Mike,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MD2fHPGmm0

It's not loud but once it get's mad it makes everyone know.

The more I watch this video there more I wanna keep it. Maybe ditch the turbo idea and do a quad exhaust and slap on a CF diffuser..hmmm

Best move I ever made was picked up the Remus. I could have not described it any better than you have

The only bad thing is the muffler is pretty heavy (if you care about weight) and the tips are..ehhh but it's not that bad

NO DRONE

This was after I spanked a G35 on the freeway.

That's how the Remus is. Not too loud but like I said when it get's mad it lets you know
