1999 CLK320 (sold), 2007 C230 SS (gone), 2000 Grand Marquis, 2011 CR-Z, stay tuned...
Wow. So that's the stock exhaust with just the resonators deleted. That's surprisingly significant. How's the cabin noise. Any drone?

"annoyance" and "self-righteousness", amoung others...
The 07 sport muffler HAS GOT to be different.
My wife's 07 stock muffler sounded much better than my 06 stock.
I at first did a resonator delete only, and also had nowhere near this sound.
Something doesn't add up right.
by the way, to the OP or anyone else with 07....
I just did the "seconday cats" delete (THEY ARE NOT CATS, THEY ARE hollow resonators with perforated walls with some sort of stuffing.... basically they are glass pack mufflers.
the delete of these really was what unlocked some more welcome throat.
Definitely on an 07 (not so much an 06 but better than nothing) delete the three resonators and you will not need an aftermarket muffler to suit any fancy to have a louder, throatier exhaust.

answer is two fold.
its faster to achieve a better avg mpg when cruising. (my 30 min drive to school usually only allowed me to see 28-29 mpg by the time i got there or back home, but this past week i noticed it hit 30+ on the trip to and from in the same amount of time)
however its faster to achieve worse mpg considering i enjoy listening to the exhaust at full throttle more often than before.

Is it a world of difference now that you took out those additional ones? Do you have any videos of it?
