to go ceramic or non?
And yes, OEM's are definitely a lot better when it comes to aftermarket pads. They do dust a lot more, but it's all because of the great response the oems give. But since I myself try not to put myself in situations where extreme braking situations are needed, I'm fine with less dust and more life. The OEM's are softer compound, which in turn causes less noise and more dust, with better bite.

PERIOD!
Start with fresh rotors as the pads last forever.
I have 75K on my fronts, and they'll easily be going to 100K.
No squeal at all.

I had to switch from them on my Racing Brake 2-piece rotors, as they don't get along too well. Otherwise, I'd still be using them - they're great.
What do you recommend for stock rotors:
Front: EBC Green Stuff or Akebono Ceramics
Rear: EBC Red Stuff or Akebono Ceramics
Will they warp the stock rotors faster???
I dont care for noise, i just want dependable braking with reduced dust while not harming the rotors. Theyre cheaper than stock pads, so i want to give 'em a try. Where do i look for them? i know theres tirerack, but is there a better site?
Thanks
I'm actually wishing my rears needed to be replaced, because I'd put Akebono's on the rears too. But I only have about 48K on my car, so the rears still have enough pad for at least another 25K or so.
Be careful as to the part #'s for these. Took me a little while to determine what was the correct part #'s. I'll post them later this evening when I get home, as well as the site I got them from.

So I found the part number for the Akebono front brake pads. Please note that these are for a 2005 (and up) C230 Sport with the single piston calipers.
The part number is: Akebono EUR1121.
I checked out several sites when I was looking to buy them, and a few of them had the incorrect part number, where others were saying it wasn't available. However, I think now all the sites have the correct one.
I searched on tirerack, rockauto, and placeforbrakes. Placeforbrakes had the lowest price, and free shipping.
I included some pics of my install....
