I'm looking at picking up a 2001 W203 with the 2.6L V6 & 6spd manual. I done some pre-reading and it looks like the larger 3.2L out of the C320 will work; will the C32 motor work too?
How about any V8 swaps? I'd like to keep the 6spd.

why would you swap a C32 motor into a W203? unless you do all the work yourself, it isn't worth the money to do that. c32s are relatively cheap.
and IIRC, a member on here has a M113k swapped into a W203, though (again, IIRC) he had to extend out the front end b/c the M113k motor didn't clear the firewall.

Sounds like only the 3.2L M112 swap would be the most viable and least expensive option to go this route.
Does the C32 have a 6spd?

if you can get the C32 Engine and Tranny with the Diff. Cheap/decent Price do it.. i would!
The standard C240 M transmission & diff can absorb the torque of the 320/M112 engine - no problems - Beyond that you need to swap out the lot. 320 is best option.

I know this is a really old thread but I can't seem to find anywhere what is the max torque rating for the manual 6 speed transmission that came with the 240's and I guess the same was used in the 280 models.
Doubt it is posted anywhere one or two people that I know of have been successful with 32amg power through them but any higher than that who knows.

But "generally" let's say that it would be able to handle the C32AMG's torque?
Out Of Control!!
I would say generally not.
Then there's the problem of the ECU as well.
Selling your car and getting an STi, Evo, or M3 would make much more sense from a financial perspective, and give you a much more fun fast manual transmission-equipped car to boot.

I would agree that it would be cheaper to get a BMW or something Japanese with a stick but I love my Benz with a stick. If only it would have some more power. I know the option of getting a 500 or even a 55 are also there but all of them are with auto boxes.

There's always supercharging or turboing. Though the support for Benzes is laughable, so there would be some custom work involved.

Its all possible - just a bit expensive - You can hit up rudy (rcompart) and ask him a bit about this. Hes done plenty of m112 to m113 swaps. Im sure it can be done w/ enough $$.
