Guys,
Have anyone of you ever burned your rear license plate housing?
My rear license plate bulbs went off this morning and I thought it might be the bulb just went off. However, the bulb looks fine, and the housing was burned.
Do you guys happen to know how to replace the rear license plate housing and might suggest me how to get the replacement part?
Thank you

You mean the license plate lens housing or the actual body colored surround, around the license plate itself?
The rear license plate bulb housing (the black part), the one that hold the bulb

You can get them from the dealer. It's about $50 for the pair and they're very easy to swap out. I've done it before and it was a piece of cake.

I have seen some LED ones that should work. Someone here sells them. (The entire assembly)
How do you remove the housing? Do I need to open the back cover of the trunk?

did you have aftermarket bulbs in there? if so what kind?
and i believe you do need to open the trunk lining, i remember reading it somewhere on here in the License Plate LED thread, check in there for instructions
