front-end mod w203
How to mod front of W203? (assuming you have the 'mandated' clear halogens or bix already)
I just went back to the stock grille and hood ornament and it looks quite classy.

You have a "Classic" trim car, right? There are a number of possibilities for your car.
Your stock "Classic" grill is an option. Other grill options to consider are the following:
pre-facelift "Elegance" grill (luxury for Americans)
pre-facelift "Avant Garde" grill (sport for Americans)
facelifted "Elegance" grill
facelifted "Avant Garde" grill
various aftermarket grills with a big centre star (what common folk call the "CL Grill)
custom paint (or wrap in CF) any of the above for a different type of look
My personal favourite is the facelifted "Avant Garde" grill. I think that is the cheapest option to make your car look a little more modern.
And that's just grills. Another thing you can do to alter the look of the the front end is to replace your stock bumper with any of the following:
pre-facelift "Avant Garde" bumper
facelifted "Elegance" bumper
facelifted "AMG Sport Package" bumper
any aftermarket bumper (Brabus, Carlsson, etc)

Do you have a pic of the facelifted Avantgarde grille?
Is that the one that is black on the top of the 'slats'?
What kind of grille is this:

I'm worried if I upgrade to these types of grilles the difference may not be noticeable enough.

hahaha imo i think the clk style grille really doesnt fit the c class. it looks alright with the amg bumper but with the classic with no lip its just terrible. i tihnk you should just black out the stock grille and get a lip or an after market bumper. theres sumone on the forum with the same color car as u with the rieger kit and a blacked out grille and it just looks amazing.

IMO the only stock grille that will work with a flat hood badge is the 05 and up grilles and blacked out. If you black it out, make sure you have some other mods to go along with it to match the look.

I just painted my grill the other day and have a flat badge. I love how it looks. I wanted to get a Black CL grill, but now I am reconsidering it.

Here is a pic:
And here is a pic of the pre-facelifted Avantgarde or "Sport" models. Note the different grille and very different bumper too!....sure brings back memories for those of us who remember.
And I'm not sure many of our American members realize what your "stock" Classic trim grille is, as the Classic trim was not sold in the USA......here is a pic.
I certainly have memories of this grille, as I use to have a Canadian spec C240 Classic. When the facelifted W203 C-class came out, I swapped the Classic grille for the facelifted "Sport" grille. That would be my recommendation to you as well.

I like it.....it looks unique and looks good..........basically if you are trying to personalize your ride go with what you like and not what others think ........that is the reason why we have so many different variations with everyones creativity.........I would always do what I like...........even if it is ****ty as hell..........
But I really do like the look of that white grill...........always a big fan of white color.........

I just received the grille. However, it is ALL black. The pictures make it look like the slats are black and the rest of it is grey/silver/chrome.
I sent the seller a message and have not received a response yet.
