Mist Spraying from A/C Vents?

Hey guys, so its been 100+ degrees and 100% humidity the past week here in Florida, and just a few days ago my A/C started spraying mist at me. I first noticed alot of condensation buildling up around the vents, but just figured it was from the A/C working with all the heat/humidity. This was about 3 days ago. Temp was set to 71 degrees, A/C on, almost at full (1 notch below full blast).
I hit A/C Rest, nothing changed.
I dropped it down to just the fan running (so only 2 bars) and it stopped misting, although condensation was still appearing on the vents

Today on my way back from work, same deal happened. Is this something i should get looked at? or is it just from all the humidity in the air?

thanks guys, just dont want to be stuck down here with no a/c, heats friggin brutal

Mist coming out of your vents is simply due to the high humidity in Florida (and other Gulf Coast states).

Your air conditioner is cooling the air to below the dew point (temerature at which humidity is 100%), and the result is fog coming out your vents. You can reduce this effect somewhat by putting your air conditioner on the recirculate mode.

There is also the possibility the drain is clogged on your A/C evaporator. This would trap water inside the system, which would then be blown out the vents. To check for this, look under your car and be sure your have a steady drip of water when your A/C is running (on a humid day). If you do not have a puddle of water, your system is not draining.

your car is working fine, being a floridian you should kind of already know this occurs, no "mist" is blowing at you, as said above your a/c is causing condensation to collect around your air vents, its even more obvious at night or if you ride with your a/c on and the windows down.

Alpinweiss is spot on as usual - Often happen with aircraft aircons sitting on the ground in high humidity at Miami airport & many airports across Asia such as HK, Bankok, Changi in Singapore etc.

i know, its colorless and odorless too... scary
okay well then i'm gonna go ahead and hi-jack my own thread and ask something i've been wondering

okay my a/c system. A/C Rest button turns the a/c off, making the air warm right? so if i want to heat my car up in the winter, set temp to 80 degrees and hit A/C Rest? or will it blow hot air out with the A/C still 'on'

and whats the blue wheel for the vents do as opposed to the normal ones? i've got a blue one in the center and i cant figure out what it does. At first i thought it was how much cold air came out but opening and closing it doesn't really seem to do much...
god sorry these are such noobish questions, and they could probably be found in the manual lol, but i've read that before and i'm still lost
