I'm hoping a MB tech can chime in here.

I remember seeing a thread on MBW a long time ago about Steve (aka MBenzNL) enabling a setting in a MB (should be a W203 iirc) such that the instrument cluster display shows the number of litres of gas remaining in the tank.

I am wondering if anyone knows..

1) Is this possible for a 2002-2004 pre-facelift W203?

2) If so, what is the menu sequence to do it?

If it's somewhere in the forum, a link would be helpful as well. I am sick of using the Range calculator. That thing is completely useless.

He's got a pre-facelift coupe. I don't think it's possible.

I've found that if I put more fuel it before it hits "empty", I'm usually ok. I've never understood waiting until the very last minute to fuel up; reminds me of one episode of Seinfeld, where Kramer did it to a Saab. It didn't end well.

I drive my car to 0 miles remaining and have never had an issue with doing that in any car. I would love to have the fuel level feature! I am waiting for Karo to come to GA.. lol

Had this done on my car, does require the Mercedes Star Diagnose computer.

I didn't even realize that my cluster had stuff unlocked until a month or two after Steve worked on it. Lol.

But the date function is pretty nifty.
How many liters left until empty... is almost the same as the gauge on your right =.=
But I guess it's pretty useful if you drive it down to like.... next to nothing.

One time my mileage calculator was at 0, and my liters to empty was 0.2ltrs.
Lol. Good thing the gas station was literally a block away

Any pre facelift w203s out in SoCal want this mod? I want to confirm it before I give out info to someone over the net. Too bad Patrick sold his car. I'm 99% sure I got it but I want to be 100% sure.

Seems like it would work but to be sure I'll find a post facelift and try it first.

So, apart from the alarm chirp, active fogs and the amount of fuel remaining, what else is there to activate through Star?

I'm going to be taking my car in soon and I want to see if i can get everything done at once!

WaveyKat, just get a multiplexer and cables from Ebay, and I can help you get the rest installed. Multiplexer and cables run ~$500-600.

Ya but it looks soo stupid. When you make a turn people are going to think your fog is malfunctioning (atleast that's what I thought when I saw this on the 204)

Time to revive the thread.

Looks like another fellow member is kind enough to help me out by providing a Star computer. I wondering if someone can please post the menu path (text or text + photos) for the following:

a) show litres in tank
b) cornering fogs
c) remove speed limiter
d) reset SRS airbag light (long story)

My car is a pre-facelift w203.

Anything else cool and worth enabling for this car?
