I'd stick with a company that knows an M271 from an M111 etc etc.

No disrespect as I'm sure your company is skilled and has the knowledge to make a good product for a variety of cars but nothing beats an expert that specializes in one thing, ie, german car tuning companies like Kleeman etc.
I'm on my 4th personal Mercedes, 92 190E, 02 S500, 05 C55AMG, 06 SL55AMG. My biggest Mercedes Modded car was My 2005 C55 AMG. I built that car to just about as powerful you could get, while keeping it N/A. When 355whp and 12.9's got old. I wanted to do something to take this C55 to the next level.

Knowing the RENNtech blower was a bit to small. I opted to fit a 55k AMG supercharger on my C55. Sounds easy, but it wasn't. Sure anyone can bolt one on, but could the guys I teamed up with make it all work? The answer is yes....

To cut the story short, My C55 ended up make 482whp and 580wtq, and this was a car I drove every day. I own ALL dragtimes.com records for the C55 and most likely for the W203 platform. Running the 1/4 mile in 11.55 with a top trap speed of 121mph. Faster than any documented Kleemann C55k S8. Doing all of this on a broken transmission. I am very honored to be the holder of these records. Hoping someone beats them some day.

If you have not noticed I have two profiles "Hooleyboy" and "MBH motorsports." When I first joined MBW, I was just "Hooleyboy." It got to a point that no one made what I wanted for my car, So I took it upon myself to have the parts I wanted made for me. Then offer what I had done to others. In hopes to share the love. So I became a sponsor of this site and founded MBH motorsports.

If you are unfamiliar with me, that totally OK. Knowing that this forum loves videos... I will share with you my love and passion for Mercedes. With some videos of What My C55 and MBH motorsports is all about.

How is this ownage? Its not. While I enjoy reading about the credentials of Hooleyboy, it is quite necessary that he separates himself from the tuners that offer off the shelf product. He is making progress in that regard. Of the people claiming ownage....who are you people? The ownage you imply is unfortunately at the expense of alienating new customers. Keep up the good work. Being a business owner myself, I can tell you, this is not the way to make a sale.

Initially this thread was, having a product to sell, now it has become, we can offer this?

On the business side of the house, I'd come up with a group buy for a batch price. get people to commit, put down a deposit, and get some cranked out. I'm still listening. Heck, with a large enough deposit, you are getting them made and paying for materials on the customers dime.

Like I said no disrespect and I'm totally not trying to hijack your thread so sorry if it might seem like it!

Its frustrating how anyone who's willing to pay MBWorld a little $ can get a "forum sponsor" status and flog their products... it makes it hard to distinguish between legit companies with true experience and others who are just trying to make a quick buck...

It definitely does look like you have your fair share of experience with Mercedes over the years so my apologies for that, it just struck me as odd that a tuning company would not know the engine number for a car they built headers for!

Like others said, the price seems high considering the age of the car these headers are for, you might have better luck targeting the 2006-2007 w203s. Good luck!

I can personally vouch for Hooleyboy any day. He has personally helped me out taking his time and probably some of his own $$ out of pocket to help me out. And I've never even met him!

Stand up guy who was willing to help out another forum member in need with nothing asked in return.

No ownage ever meant. I knew there are alot of you guys that dont venture up to the AMG side of this forum and likewise on the W203 side. Nor was this meant to be a "Do you know who I am?" With that said, I'm just an a Mercedes enthusiast, turned sponsor. I'm one of the few sponsors that owns, drives and lives with a Mercedes every day. I encourage you guys to subscribe to my You Tube channel. I up load race videos during race season, dyno runs of cool cars, and some product development videos. Then the occasional off topic video.

As for pricing, I'm always willing to go to bat for you guys. So I can try to hammer down the pricing. This product doesn't really need to succeed, but I want to make it financially obtainable to the person that would enjoy it. I'll work on a new number this week.

Hey bro,

Not calling you out or anything but what Benz were you able to squeeze out 50rwhp?? That's very amazing. If you would have to take a while guess how much do you think you can gain (rwhp) on the m272 350 engine with your headers?

Thanks,

-Karo

Most 55's make about 40-50whp with our 55K header kit alone. My brother (Member: Hoolamonster) made 48whp. I as well made 46whp on My SL55. Both cars where stock when headers were added. We have had many customers make on that rage as well. In fact we are the first to offer a money back guarantee of at least 40whp with out header kit on 55k AMG's. We also off in this M111 W203 to make at least 30whp or send them back for a full refund.

A customer of ours brought in his E55, He had some sporting mods from renntech. Including shorty headers. after fitting the MBH headers on his car, He made 50whp over the renntech headers!. It was totally insane. So much so I kept check the input in the dyno to make sure it was right. In deed it was.

Hmmmm, that's interesting. I may need to think about this. I wasn't happy about the gains on the Supersprint headers.

What's the turnaround time? Obviously, the price reduction you're thinking of would be good to know too.

Ok, I know this topic is 8 years old.
Just taking my chances.
Hooleyboy, if you're reading this. I am thinking buying 5 sets of those headers made for M111.975 onborad of W202 C230 Kompressor, not R170, not W208, but on W202 (I guess wouldn't make much of a difference)
Please consider the offer and come up with a competitive pricing.
By the way, I need these shipped to Taiwan, so please do include shipping in your quote.

Who'd know 8 years later, there are still people modding these cars? LOL
