2007 C280 4matic.....any good?

I am new to MB and I am looking at purchasing a low mileage 60,000km 2007 C280 4matic. Anything I should know about these cars? Stuff to look for, known issues etc.

I like the affordability of this car and the styling is great but not sure on Mercedes.....

In general, what is the service like (intervals, expense, etc..)?

Thanks for any input!

I can tell you that this car will be the most reliable of the bunch. 2007 is relatively trouble free for the w203.

Good solid, troublefree car.

Servicing/maintenance costs will be a little higher than Japanese econobox's but that's all.

I also bought a '07 C280 with 57K miles recently.

Only two things that seem to be problematic on this car -
infamous Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS),
camshaft adjusters and sensors leak oil.

Other than that, I love the car. I am getting 26 MPG on highway at 70MPH driving. I am getting about 22MPG in the city.

Its a solid car, just make sure you keep up with the maintenance. Def go to a good indy shop, its way cheaper then the dealer.

I've had less problems with the Mercedes then any other car I've owned, including volvo, acura, and mazda. Now that I think about it, I can't believe how reliable this thing is.

I own one, I love it, but the 4Matic has some restrictions when it comes to modding. No staggered rims, not many lowering kits other than one sold by Vivid racing. But go for it you'll love it. The cost of service is so so. Just learn to do everything yourself.

Has any one done the removal of this camshaft sensor. Do you really have to disconect the battery. or can i just do it just carefully. im worried that if i disconect battery im gonna have problems or even some type of computer malfuction. im reading a incorrect position on the right exhaust camshaft P0015 and a left intake.P0022 code

A good few of us have fixed the P0015 code, or JOHNAND had the P0012 I think it was. The two sensor magnets are on the face of engine block, just change both of them on the passenger side of the engine block. Search up the p0015 and p0012 thread.

BTW sorry johnand if I misspelled it.
