Need C230 Pulley Specs
I have two pulley manufacturers that are insterested in making a supercharger or crankcase pulley for our forum. These are manufacturers that currently make pullies for the GM supercharged cars, Toyota supercharged MR2 and others. These pulley kits typically sell for $100-200 so they are in a better price range than our foreign tuners. Certainly better than $900-2,000.
What they need is specs on the original pullies (crank pulley & supercharger pulley), diameter, width, number of ribs, etc...
Also is the crank pulley also a damper or is it just a pulley?

If any of you wants to bring your car in for measuring that might work. One place is in Fort Pierce, Florida and the other place is in Stafford, TX. If you are interested, e-mail me and I'll give you the details.
Odds are if I walk into the dealer and ask to buy a crankshaft pulley it will probably have to come from Germany and it will take weeks. As for the supercharger pulley, I found out that it's not a piece of cake to take off as it's pressed on the shaft and not bolted as one might think. This is probably the main reason that the German tuners use a larger crankshaft pulley instead.

I think the C230K is using an Eaton M62:

The maximum allowable RPMs is 14,000. Someone will have to find out the ratio usually like a 2.5:1 or something to determine the smallest size to run on the street.

ASP Racing is one of the places that will make pullies for us. It looks like they know what they are doing. How do you know that it's an Eaton M62? The specs say it's for a 2.5 to 4.0 liter motor and we have a 2.3. If someone can take their car to ASP Racing they can probably look at it and tell what it is and how to best improve it. They are at 13313 Redfish, #104, Stafford, TX 77477.

pulleys in CA
Hey guys, Don;t know if you have seen European Car, but we make pullies as well. We have already made the BMW ones and had amazing results (with both European Car and Euro Tuner magazines featuring them).
We are already in the process of making MB pulleys too!
Buellwinkle, e-mail me privately. We can arrange a group deal for the forum.
Thanks
Brad
