good luck trying to get a hold of Karo he heard there was a special on 10 gallon drums of KY lube in Florida, called up KY pre orders 1000 gallons with his credit card, went to bevmo bought 3 cases of monster and was off like a bat out of hell red lining his c350 bumping trance music so loud you could see the sound waves coming out of his window

If I leave a little bit earlier than 7 then 45 min to 1 hour. If I leave 5 min after 7 then 1 hour to 1.5 hours.
Company was going bankrupt so it was closed down. Now investors dumped a lot of money into it and getting the network going including security.
This was the company that I mentioned I have an interview and their site has an SQL Injection vulnerability (lanshift's thread). I mentioned it and they said can you start tomorrow
so here I am starting a job in the middle of the week.

I know this is off topice but just can't help wondering. How is this snort equipment going to help while you have hub splits into the router and also into the snort into the router. Won't the intrusion just bypass the snort from the hub to the router line?

.On the left is a switch and on the right is a hub. Think of a switch as a dedicated line. Each person has a dedicated line and packets go through. A hub has just one line where people share. So we put Snort and it sniffs through the "one line" (not dedicated) and keeps track of network activities.

Ok here is a better explanation.
You work at a big office and you get mail there.
Switch:
The mailman delivers the mail directly to each employee.
Hub:
The mailman puts all mail in a pile and each employee looks through it and pics up their mail.
Let's say you want to track your employees' mail to see if they get mail they aren't suppose to (intruder). You must first tell the mailman to put all mail in a pile (Hub) then you hire a person (Snort) that monitors the mail and if bad mail comes through he or she doesn't allow you to pick it up.
Bad mail will still come through but it will not be delivered.
Hope this explain things a little better.
