roof rack and bike carrier for sale
I'm looking for $300 for both, and I'll split the cost of shipping with you. Looking for Paypal payment.
You can see the bars in the picture:

The Cargo box is not included, but is for sale (though it would need to be picked up as shipping would probably be ridiculous). I can send more pictures, or pictures of the bike attachment if you want.
If interested drop me a line or send me a text message to 210-273-4709.

How much would shipping be to Davis, CA 95616?
Pictures of the actual bike rack and bar combo?
And how does it mount?
Does it leave any marks on the car?
EDIT:
There seems to be a bra on your dash

Look at this picture and you'll get an idea:

I have to guess on the shipping at this moment cause I haven't boxed it up yet, but I think it'll be around $80, so half (cause I'll pay half), but I'm not 100% sure on that yet. If you're seriously interested I'll box it up this weekend and take it to UPS to find out exactly what it weighs and all.
It mounts by a clamp process, and it's not only designed for the car specifically, but the car is actually designed for it as well (See my previous post). It shouldn't mark the car up if you put it on right, it has a rubber base at each mounting point and if you clamp it down snug it shouldn't move around at all.

gives you an idea of what it looks like. This photo shows 2 bike racks, I only have 1 (ONE). The bar system has locking ends, and you can slide up to 3 bike racks onto it. There are all kinds of accessories that you can get from the dealer, like skis and surf board holders, luggage boxes and so on.
If you want a more detailed photo or a specific angle let me know and I'll mount mine and e-mail you photos.

Heya'
Thanks for the informative photos.
But I'm just curious of how it inserts into the door.
So can you take photos of:
--The clamp / part that slides into the door (groove) "arrow"?
--Where the base of the roof rack and how it sits on the roof of the car?
--And your current bike rack looks exactly like the one pictured?
Could I have a closer picture of it on your car =D
One bike rack is enough for transporting my bike sometimes from SF to Davis, but sometimes my friends want to ride with me, so I may get another anyways. (Is there a part number for your current bike rack?)
For $300 + est($40) shipping, I'm very interested

Please post your photos here, or send them to me via PM or email: jimpanz at gmail period com

This is the inside of the doorframe, and here is a close-up

The base has a rubber foot that contours to the roof line

This is the rack sitting unsecured. Notice the lower clamp hanging loose. You want to line it up between the 2 marks inside the door frame

Each endcap has a lock that's covered. You unlock each one and pull the end out until the screw holes line up with the screw

If you push the lower clamp up to a set position, the tightening screw will pop out

Using an H5 metric Hex bit, you hand tighten it till it's secure

And with the door closed

Then, with the endcaps still open, you want to slide the bike rack into the groove in the rack.

The knobs on the rack itself are spring loaded. After it's been turned to loosen up, then you press down on the knob and the metal plate comes out to line up with the tracked groove.
Once in place, twist the **** to tighten

Lock the endcaps and raise the straps and frame bar.

The wheel straps slide back and forth to secure properly and the head of the frame bar rotates. This fits nearly all bikes. I ride a recumbent and it's worked just fine.
Any other questions or angles you want to see? Just let me know.

I'll take it!
I've already replied to your email O
Basically... I don't know if you'll want to hold it for me for two weeks, as I won't be back in the states until Sept 2nd~3rd.
So... I want it.. but I guess people may swoop it from me in this time frame

All depends, but if anyone is thinking of swooping
I call dibs!

EDIT: Those are awesome install pictures as well!
Could you take a picture of the door's weather strip seal on the base where the rack is clamped?
Like photo 11, but from a lower angle/front or back?
It seems like the clamping piece causes the weather stripping to bulge out.. and I guess deforms it? So leaving the rack on for extended periods of time may eventually lead to the weather stripping to remain deformed?
Not a big deal I suppose.. but I'm just curious.

Just my experience with my carrier. I like the look, but it does increase the wind noise (naturally) and I haven't acquired a bike rack for mine yet, so no reason to drive with it up there.

The rubber just kind goes around the clamp. I used it for a cross continent trip, and I had it up there for 8 weeks. When I took it off, the rubber just popped back into place. As long as your rubber is not brittle or dry, I don't see there being a major problem. Mercedes designed this thing.
One thing I did forget to mention, when you look underneath the rack, there is a photo to show you which side (left, right, front or back) that end goes, so you can't place it wrong.
Sorry Oren!

I hate myself for saying it, because I really want this... but I can not buy it without being nagged at.
The price of $300 is a really good deal for this combo, and will probably sell before I'm even back in the US. Sorry for delaying you potential buyers of a week.
The basic carrier bars (roof rack) for the coupe (CL203) is slightly shorter (by a few inches) to fit the narrower roof of the Coupe. Also, the roof-line of the coupe is different from sedan, especially where the rear carrier bars meet the roof. Thus, W203 and CL203 basic carrier bars are different.
Yes, the bicycle carrier attachments are universal and should fit all Mercedes OEM basic carrier bars.
I have a basic carrier bars (roof rack) for coupe along with 2 "Alustyle" Bicycle carrier attachments I'm thinking about selling,... but I'm trying to sell local (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) first since shipping would be a pain.
For anyone worried about permanently deforming the outer rubber seal,... make sure your rubber seals are flexible. Apply silicone spray on the rubber seal to ensure they remain flexible. And wear latex gloves when your massage the silicone spray into the rubber seal.
