front differential right side axel seal???

wheile had my front axels replaced due to cv joints/boots being wrecked after they pulled the right hand side shaft 3 weeks ago I noticed on friday that the seal is now weeping its not leaking enough to drip (yet)

has anyone replaced the axel seal on the front right side diff??

I ordered the seal it was back ordered I got this seal A 210 997 01 40 which I think is for the left side Not the right side like i requested

so can anyone confirm this????

That is the left seal - No 80 in the diagram I posted.

but does it also do the right too?? as there is NO axel shaft seal listed for the right the 2 seals listed are for the case not the shaft

I've never done this job. I thought 170 was the RHS seal??? Big difference in seal size - yes

Just checked. 170 is the output shaft seal for the RHS - The reason they use such large differences in output shaft size is to offset torque steer.
