Cheap oil? 0w-40 syn
does anyone know where to buy mobil 1 0w-40 syn for cheap?
my local kragen/oreily store sells them for $7.99/ qt
man oil has been getting more and more expensive. i remember when syn used to be like 4.99 bucks a qt.
i can get 6qts for 47.39 at amazon, which is pretty much the same price as my local autoparts store but i just save on tax and free shipping with amazon prime. but i would have to wait for them to ship it.
anybody have good finds on where to buy oil for cheap?
thanks

Oreillys will sometimes have mobil 1 on sale for 4.99. Regularly its 6.99-7.99 at most stores when not on sale. My walmart consistently has it on sale for 6.22. Sucks they don't sell it in the 5qt jugs, which go for 22.00 when on sale....

PepBoys has 5x1qt 0w-40 plus a mobil filter for $29.99 ($5.99/qt, even without the filter), I guess you could buy two for cheaper than 9qts from Walmart. Walmart by me were doing it for $6.37/qt.
This PepBoys offer is on Katella in Orange, CA.
Not all Walmarts sell mobil1 0w-40, wish they would do the 5qt versions for $21 like they do for all the other mobil1 oil types.

My Wal-Mart carried Mobil1 0W-40 Euro formula for a while but has since discontinued it, I think. It was $6.27/quart. Now I pay $7.99. But the C230 doesn't need but 5.5 quarts and it's really not that much when you consider you need it only every 13,000 miles.

Yes, look out for the 29.99 deals as well. i just need to figure out what to do with useless filters I won't use.....

yeah. i would keep an eye out for the oreilys/kragen/autozone deals. i usually get filters for friends cars and give it to for a couple of bucks. i mean its better than paying 13 for a mobil1 filter at kragen right? haha

I usually get my oil at oreilys for 6.99 at regular and use my friends company discount to not have to pay tax and get like 10-15% off also use it at the MB dealership to get the filter at discount. I use to get it at Walmart but they stopped selling it for awhile where I'm at but went the other day and they had it again.

I saw this same deal at my local Pep Boys in Maryland. When I checked the 5 qt container, it did not say it had the MB 229.5 approval rating.
For you experts out there, can this particular Mobil 1 version (at such a good price) be used for W203's?

You need to stock up when it's on sale. It's regularly on sale for $29.99 for 5 qts and a Mobil 1 filter (which they don't carry one for our cars yet) at Autozone and Advance Auto. I usually buy one for every car in my family that gets synthetic when it's on sale so I've already got it.
