Looking for ideas/help. Last week took my 320 Wagon in for Service A and intermittent problem with COMAND, specifically the radio mode would fail. Dealer replaced a fiber optic connector which seemed to correct. Now in any mode, radio, CD, phone, NAVI the audio intermittently ceases for a brief period, then resumes. The unit is still rcving power as the screen remains illuminated and no malfunction code appears. Have an appt to take back in, but just wonder if anyone has experienced anything similar.

BTW, for some reason the board dropped my access as member CHKMTE and repeated efforts to restore failed-so I just re-registered as Avrex.

 

Try resetting the comand. Go into the diagnostics menu (mute, 1 and 3). Press all three buttons simultaneously for a couple seconds until the screen shows up. There is a place to reset the comand. I can't remember off hand which menu it's in but you should be able to figure it out.

sounds like a fiber optic problem...resetting won't do much...

Thanks, I'll give this a shot. No joy then back to the dealer. I have had no probs with the car--hope this is not a precursor to downstream glitches.
