Looking into C320s - What to expect

A W210 is not a wise idea, either, for the record. Basically if you have $10,000 to spend you need to not look at German cars - like Trey said.

I was looking for a 2003 up w203 and i ended up with on 02' C240 for $7500 with 65,000 miles on it. Couldn't. resist the price since I just sold my 2000 c230K for $5,000. Just be patient and the most important thing is you have to have cash on hand if the right deal comes.

No, I don't really like their coupes very much; and a coupe seems too impractical for me. I'm thinking about a 99/00 LS400 or 99/00 GS300. Neither one has curtain airbags but they both have ESP. And a nice sound system from what I hear. Their engines are belt-driven so that is a $1000+ expense I have worry about already. They are just sooooo boring to drive though.

Nathan do you honestly think a less-than-$10k W203 is going to be anything special to drive? It isn't. Buy the Lexus and stop stressing so much over reliability. If reliability is such a huge thing to you I can't see how anything German was ever in the running.

belt-driven?? say whatttt????
and like said above...Soarer/SC coupe are bang for the bucks. you get one of the best rear wheel drive coupe platform Toyota ever made and you get either a reliable V8 or a 2jz-ge that you can slap on a turbo or swap it out with a 2jz-gte for cheap.

Okay guys, simmer down. I already said I wasn't going to try for the Mercedes so there is no need for the comments to continue. This may be the last time I visit for a while because since the W203 & W220, Mercedes hasn't made a car that I find appealing. Except for the W204, it looks nice but the quality I expect doesn't seem to be there. So you won't have to put up with anymore threads from me in the near future, farewell fellow partisans.
