EC Rest

I am having trouble with my ac. It was working when I got the car and then the ec rest button with the light came on and wont go off. I had an ac guy come to the house and look at it, he charged the freon and the button was still on. I dont know how legit the guy was though. He told me that I cannot put the cans of freon from a parts stoe in it because it was a mb. I dont know if he even serviced it all the way because it didnt work even after he was done. I am wondering if anyone has put the cans of 134 in from a part store and if they have had any trouble with it.

Thanks,
Travis

134a is 134a !!!

There is a pressure sensor below the radiator to protect the compressor if gas pressure is low. You need to make sure that pressure is as specified or the AC will not start.

Search for "Diagnostic Easter egg" gives method to do a controller reset.

If this does not work you need to get it onto a Star DAS to do a reset.
