EVERYONE WITH A W203 PLATFORM SHOULD CHIME IN!

Alright guys listen up!!!

Extreme dimensions has been kind enough to give this project some consideration and perhaps put something into production for us, of course if enough interest is generated.

It is a carbon fiber LICENSE PLATE trunk insert.. the plastic behind the plate.
I have seen this piece before but not too often and I REAAAAAAALLLLLY WANT ONE
I think we should have no problems getting the interest because this piece is SICK IMHO... ofcourse at a resonable price.

what do you guys think!

depending on the price I'd probably be down. Although I'm working on getting a front sway bar at the moment. Not too mention I was just taken for $750 by the stealership

whats the difference between the euro and us version?

I would be sending them mine and thats how they would come up with the mold... I doubt this piece would cost $750 I paid $250 for a front lip.

the euro is the version in the pic you posted...its designed to fit a euro license plate...the US is (i assume) what you have where the US license plate fits into...the US would fit into both if the screw holes are there but I"m just saying they're different.

"annoyance" and "self-righteousness", amoung others...
wouldnt it be cheaper to send it off to one of the CF vinyl guys and have them wrap it?

I really like the look of it too, but my accents are mostly flat black, so ill just have mine sprayed.

Of course it would be cheaper because it's not real carbon fiber.

yea it would be cheaper but for that ill do it myself... I want a real carbon fiber insert. It doesnt seem like this might generate enough interest for extreme dimensions to go through with it.. do you know where I might be able to find this in carbon fiber??

I looked into this a few months back.

So the only options we have now, if ED doesn't go through with it:

Buy the Euro Insert from MBenzNL.
Paint it to color match your car.
Or have it (primered-form) wrapped in CF by someone.

There used to be an overlay insert for this insert, but I couldn't find it.

I am also interested in a Euro-Insert, but for the current price.
The better bang for the buck would be sways first =]

Forgive me, not to be mean, but it seems kinda lame...what is the appeal? Just because it is carbon fiber? or am I missing something?

Exactly. Why would someone get a carbon fiber spoiler instead of a regular one? Because it's carbon fiber.

Maybe its nothing "special" but its something special to me. I want one and a real one.
Nothing against wrapping but I want that to be last resort.

I want one too. It's just something that would make your car that more unique.

I bought a cf euro version from eBay a few years back and it was essentially a euro overlay. So, you needed the euro trunk insert and then you used double sided tape to secure the cf piece to the back of your trunk.

If this is a single piece euro trunk insert in cf, for a reasonable price and not crappy quality, I'm sure some people would be in.

I would buy this depending on price. Also does it still support the license plate lights.. And

nlpamg I envy your 5.0L v-10 greatness. I want a M6.

well, if it's just the cf then it's not all there. the draw is that it's a european sized license plate holder that makes the rear look somewhat wider. people were paying good money for the OEM euro license plate inserts and if the CF one is a cost-effective viable solution then it won't be bad.

thanks man!

if it's the full insert, it should still support the license plate lights. the license plate lights are not part of the insert.
