A small introduction
Hi, I'm new to the forum and still just searching through everything before I hopefully buy my first merc on friday.
I'm 23 and live in Iceland, I'm looking at a C200 Kompressor (w203), black, w/ black leather and tints. Right now I'm just reading through the stickies and searching for stuff to learn.
I play mostly with cars and photography.
My first car was a Dodge stealth I bought from my father in law. I spent 2 years tinkering with it and making it look nice again.
Then I found a 3000gt VR4 for a ridiculous price so I sold the stealth and jumped on the turbo goodness.
That car I drove for 2 years and maintained it myself. but keeping on top of the maintainance on a 15yo. twin turbo is no joke and I had no job at the time. So I sold it an still miss it a lot.
Then I got a Suzuki Vitara with a 2L turbo diesel for free from my uncle when he thought it was broken. Turned out that he drove it so slow that the cat was just clogged. I sawed off the cat and everything was good.
But now that car is rusting away and I've got a nice job so I wanted to treat myself a bit and found this clean looking 203.
On Friday I'll hopefully manage to snag it up. I'm just too excited and I can't wait to start doing some minor changes. "rims, exhaust,molded lip spoiler, mp3 jack"
Hopefully I will be a valid member by friday and can share some pics.

well, The VR4 is a ***** to maintain. But it's also like a crazy girlfriend. You don't enjoy her every night, but when you do.... hold on tight.

But I'll most likely have to find another c200k to buy because the financing company that loaned the money to buy the car is going bankrupt in a few days so the current owner is about to get rammed hard without lube. So I'm holding back for a few weeks until I find another one. I still might do it, but that is only if everything plays out smoothly... which I doubt.
