Disappearing WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID, WHO'S DRIKING IT????

I recently filled up with windshield washer fluid on my 03 C230 M271, the next day I noticed that some of the fluid were gone already and I didn't use it. I filled up again only to notice the same thing again. Does anybody know what is going on?

Thank y'all

It was happened to my car too, you just need to check underneath your engine, see whether there is spilled water.

I check the fluid reservoir and found out that one of the plug is not tight. you just need to tighten it.

Hope helps

1999 CLK320 (sold), 2007 C230 SS (gone), 2000 Grand Marquis, 2011 CR-Z, stay tuned...
I'm not sure about the design in the w203, but I had a leak problem in my w208. The plug in the CLK would get pushed out from the pressure of the fluid if it was poured in too quickly. That could be your culprit.

You should also stop using caps lock. Rumor has it that caps lock causes your car to leak oil.

windshield washer fluid tank is tucked in to the (drivers side) wheel well area. To see where it's leaking, you will need to remove the front drivers side wheel well cover/liner and see where it is leaking.

My guess is that the grommet on the washer pump must be leaking. Number 70 in the diagram below.

Here is the diagram showing wheel well cover parts. You will need to remove the part labeled 110 (also, you may need to push the part 100 up slightly as well).

good luck

ok dude come on take off your front wheel and the panel in front of it and take a look around it should not be to hard to find a leak if it really is going down that fast.
And matt don't reply its not worth it some people don't like sarcasm he won't last long if that is the case.

A 2003 car with an M271 and the washer fluid disappearing is a "real issue"? Oh boy. Wait till the oil ruins the engine harness and O2 sensors and the valves stop seating right and a head job is needed. Washer fluid will not be on the radar.

We need Karo up in this bihh. You know. Set him straight. Err.. sorta.

If the fluid doesn't all leak out immediately, or if it does anyway, check the pump in this thread:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ny-images.html

Could be you hit a bump and the pump loosed out a little.

This is perfect!, thank you vrey much. I'll check this out. (The SA was telling me that it was the headlight washer, and after a hundred bucks or so spent on the washer with the dealer it still leaks).

The leak is one of the issues actually, I am also leaking what seems like transmission fluid, my pano roof can't open anymore (had to remove the cable), my CD is done (and removed); I need to change the broken fog lenses, my air conditioner goes straight to my feet while the heat prefers to heat me straight in the face, my paint has small cracks showing all over (mostly in the front) and on top of it all I have been steadily losing power on acceleration (how would you like to be left in the dust by an old Hundai man (no offense)? at least I think it was a Hundai). Yeah I've got issues man and the leaking windshield fluid is just one of them, I just needed to start somewhere. I am leaving out the ones that I've already dealt with some of which you mentioned in your piece. Again thanx for all the rest of you who want to help me solve this issue, this leak can hide but I am gonna find it.

Peace
