Thanks for all your input Philly.

Too bad about the other site being a scam.

Philly (or anyone else), do you know if Philly's unit would plug and play with my OEM Bose system?

I'm in on the group buy if it can be close to the $375 of the fake one...unfortunately, unemployment checks don't go too far.

Here's a link to the US distributor that I ordered from for $675 shipped and got it in 2 weeks.

That's nice - I just wish it had SIRIUS/XM, since that's what I listen to most of the time.

Price will depend on amount of people.

5-9 people $650 shipped
10-19 people $620 shipped
20+ we can negotiate

It looks nice, but a couple of questions does it support sirius/xm or would I have to get a portable sat unit? Is there an upgrade from Windows CE5 (which is a terrible mobile os) to Windows Mobile 6 or 6.5?

So is this it?

Should we order or continue to wait for more interest? I would like to get this done soon if possible.

Looks like you're the only one seriously interested in buying. If you want, I can hit up Trent and see if he can give it to you for $650 shipped. Let me know.

I'm still trying to figure out how much it's going to cost to get it installed. I'm really afraid of doing it myself.

It is very easy to install but if you wanted to remove the center console yourself and pay someone to install just the head unit, it shouldn't cost more than $60 especially when the harness is already provided. Just plug and play. I know nothing about car audio but I was able to install it along with a rear camera.

Canbonbon,

Trent will honor the price of $650 shipped for the unit. What's your email so I can put you in contact with him?

If you're unemployed, then you probably shouldn't be spending money to modify your car. Especially if that's your newborn in your avatar. Come on man, use your head.

To others, if this unit is legit, and is pretty much full function, comes with included accessories, and is plug and play, and uses original steering controls, AND looks OEM flush, $650 is a bargain beyond belief.

BTW, that's an old pic...he's five now.

Still wish that other site wasn't a scam, $375 is much nicer than $675. But I agree with you...the $675 isn't a bad deal, though, I'll have to pass for now.

700 dollars for a wannabe command isn't a great price. OEM isn't that far around the corner.

If it was 375 i would jump on this but for 7 bills there are better choices.

I'm not sure about this... The buttons look so cheap it doesnt meet the car's general internal quality... I think it cheapens the car.

So how much would you guys be paying if you were to buy a square looking double din Pioneer/Kenwood/Alpine/Eclipse etc. in dash nav that completely sticks out from the dash?

And hanknum if you were doing fine then you wouldn't use unemployment as your excuse as to why you can't afford this. A more acceptable reason is that your current budget just doesn't allow for it. Not that a very lucky benefit you receive that partially comes from the taxes I pay goes to fund your hobby instead of putting dinner on the table for your family. But that's a different debate altogether that doesn't belong in this thread.
