Wiper Spindle Replacement
My car is a 2001 C240.
The passenger side windscreen wiper spindle has sheared off due to over-enthusiastic tightening of the bolt after it kept coming loose
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to replace this spindle rather than the whole mechanism and how I remove the trim etc to get access to this (as it isn't obvious to me how to actually get at it...)
(This is the wiper arm with two bolts - one spindle that rotates and the other that it pushes against. The one that is broken is the one that moves)
If I haven't given enough detail of what I am on about, I could grab a quick pic and post it up?

It looks like you'll have to buy the entire wiper linkage assembly... That spindle is not sold separately. Even if you can find it, no bolts to attach that spindle to the linkage assembly.

The part number listed (for that wiper linkage assembly) for my '04 C320 is A 203 820 07 12.
The part number may be the same for your car. Call you local MB dealer (ask for parts dept and inquire about the wiper linkage) and ask them if the part number you have is correct for your car (you will have to give your VIN number).
