Coolant overflow line cracked adapter - part # needed

Hey guys,

I barely touched the coolant overflow line today, and the plastic nipple that the rubber hose attaches to cracked in two! I can't believe Mercedes would put such a cheap piece of crap on the engine!!! Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem as it seems like it's probably a common problem, and if so, would anyone happen to have the part number for it? I have a couple of pictures. The yellow arrow indicates the plastic adapter that broke, and the red arrow is where it cracked in half.

Thanks so much for any help! Also, since I lost some coolant, is there a special coolant that I have to put into the car or will Prestone do?

I personally used Zerex G-05 Coolant to add some in my 05 c230K since that is just like oem fluid. My car hasnt blown up or anything yet

That failure is not coolant related. The OE coolant is better than Zerex

Zerex is fine. It got onto the list in the relaxed DC era. Just don't leave it in for 15 years. It won't do that where the OE fluid will.

It's ok, you'll come to accept it eventually. Just keep working on your car, and you'll find more.

Same thing happened to me today, smog was coming out from my engine bay!!
Opened the hood and saw the broken adapter.
I went to the dealer with the part number above, dealer did not really ask for my car model and passed me part and told me this is improved unit.
( the inner tube in the old one was made by PAPER!!, what a fail)
I guess this happens a lot to our w203 ppl.
Better change it before the smog come from your engine!
