freaking CCW is closed on weekends so I have to order them tomorrow. Luckily I'll be going to Ft. Lauderdale next week so I might be able to swing by their shop since its on the way there. We're taking my friends TL to get boosted there since there's a shop that specializes in TL. So we're taking a 20hr drive just for that lol... So going to Houston Tues till Sat. drive back Sat, pick up gf from airport Sunday morning then head to Florida Sunday afternoon. Busy 2 weeks ahead.

Washed the car yesterday and thought I'd take a pic of maybe one of the last times I have these wheels on. Still deciding if I want to sell or not. Might throw them on a VW form to see if I have any takers.

Just got off the phone with Chip from CCW! I was inquiring about the neo chromes and he'd said it'd take 6-8 weeks just for a custom order and it'd be $350 for the rivets alone. So I just went ahead and ordered the race versions since I didnt really like the gold or black chrome rivets on a polished wheel. YES MIKEY I WENT WITH FULLY POLISHED!!! FOR NOW... I can powdercoat them later if I decide to change them up. So heres what they're gonna look like. Should be done in 3-4 weeks Chip says.

Specs are:

18x9 +25
18x10 +20

Tires are
225/40/18 front
235/40/18 rear (for some reason Conti DWS dont come in 245/35, but make 245/40 we'll see I have a month to see what I want lol)

Um, is the picture invisible?

So, what color are the rivets? I would have waited for the neo chrome, they look so good. Though I understand your impatience. Even though my crx is in storage, I'm in the second month of waiting on an 8-week timeframe for its new rims, and it's killing me to see what they look like.

Sorry, there they are. Yea... neo chrome are sexy but for extra $350 for them is pricey, Chip said they use to cost only an extra 175 when they were in stock, they're just so hard to get and make. He said they use to order them in the 1000's because it was cheaper. Heres the different hardware. The race version has the mounting nut on the front and bolt in rear where the street have the bolt in front and nut in rear. I just think the race looks more aggressive and I didnt like any of the choices of the ARP that go with the polished face. The race have a bronzish finish and will good with my lug nuts.

I don't even want to add up how much you've spent on wheels! Those CCWs look hot though.

Very nice!

Looking forward to the final results. I'm assuming you're going with metal valve stems? I'm wondering what to do in that regard on my new rims.

Of course, I plan to order some Classics in about a year in VERY similar specs and I get beat to it :P those will look perfect. I was gonna go significantly higher on the rear offset mostly to maintain a 255 though.. Maybe i'll still get em anyway

Well this will be my 4th set in what 3 years lol had stock - CLS500 - OZ/AMG Aeros II- CCW Classics. Thinking this will be my final set. Got to get back on my performance side of the game and a few custom exterior mods I'm thinking about.

Yea I asked Chip for metal valve stems. Hopefully they'll be somewhat done when I head to Florida so I can take pics. Also talked to the seller of my lugs and he worked out a good for me to return my titanium chrome ones in exchange for the burning blue lugs and locks.

Aeros are 17x8.5 +30 & 17x9.5 +30. Had to put 10mm spacers to clear the sport calipers. 6-8 mm will clear it too without having it poke out so much.

Yea I just gotta ship them back Saturday when I get back in town. Also ordered me a new Eastwood fender roller. Got tired of having to ask my friend for his.

Big thing is that I'm gonna get my car paint touched up then I'm gonna have my friend add blue pearl to the paint. I can't wait. Hopefully it'll be over spring or summer when we both have time.

OK... so finally the wheels will be done in the next few days John says. Hopefully he'll have them shipped out this week but I think it'll be next. So I'm going to order up some fluted bolts for the front so I can get a little more neg camber. Also thinking about getting APR front splitters to make the front bumper a little more aggressive.

Also going to install an ezlip on the cf lip to make the front a little lower. If you dont know what ezlip is, its just a flexible rubber material that you can attach to your lip or bumper for protection and can add a lip to your car. so for all you non amg front guys you can add this to your car have a clean looking lip thats cheap. its 30.50 for a roll, also if you do decide to get it ask for a 8ft roll just to make sure you have enough to cover the bumper. Heres a pic of how it'll look

you can either purchase it from ezlip or go to lowes and buy all the supplies, it comes to about the same price. Heres all the parts you'll need

1 package of M-D Building Products 9'L x 2"W Black Rubber Garage Weather Strip LINK
2-3 rolls of 3M red exterior molding tape 4011 1in x 60in LINK

Its been in the import scene for awhile now but its catching fire again lol so for any of you non amg guys or guys that just want a protector their bumper or lip its a good cheap mod.
