Tell me about fender rolling a little, what is it that you roll, the edge of the fenderor the whole inside if the fender? And no paint cracking? I heard a couple guys around here do it and they said they ended up cracking their paint

The paint surface should be heated so that it doesn't crack when you roll the fenders.

Yes, rolling is taking something to the inside of the fender and pushing it out. There are tools specially designed for it that don't kill the fender, but if you're really old school, people have used a baseball bat too. Hopefully, that practice is about extinct at this point.

Oh, it's not... I saw some guys down the street from me using that method on a Civic last weekend. At least they were using a heatgun instead of a hair-dryer

fender rolling entails flattening the inside lip of the fender. If you place your hand on your finder youll see that it has a rolled lip. Rolling flattens the lip so that there is more clearance for the tires and wheels. Heating the fender enables the paint not to crack and softens the panel so its easier to roll. Some people, like myself, will go to the extreme and slowly apply more pressure gradually to the fender to push it out more little by little.

heres what a fender roller looks like

word of advice in the rear, usually the rubbing is caused by the bracket holding bumper to the panel. Grinding it down will help with the rubbing issue, but rolling the fender will help out. Just make sure you take it to a guy that knows how to do it. Usually going to different forums or asking around locally you'll find a good reliable guy that'll do it pretty cheap.

watch out for over doing the fronts too, the panel are thin and can be over rolled and pulled.

Correction, Drove An '05 C230 Kompressor SS
Do you have any under hood/inner fender pics of your Coilovers installed?
Now that you have had them on for a while and they are broken in, how is the ride quality and quality overall?

Ride is great! Have them set to 20 so the dampening isn't too soft so my wheels won't rub but its actually not to bumpy of a ride. Have 10k front and 8k rear for spring rates. I'll take pics later of the inner liner.

How do you determine the spring rate?

The basic spring rate that come on ours is 8k front & 6k rear you to tell them what you want when you order them. I'm going to call them tomorrow and might go a little stiffer. You can only go 2k difference if you go more they'll need to revalve the struts.

Paid a grand for them about to call them up and ask for stiffer springs. They threw in the extended dampening knobs for free to.

I'm hoping it'll be free since its under warranty still. But you can only increase or decrease by 2k or they'll have to revalve the struts to get them to match up.
