Want to buy 2 AMG 17" rims 7.5" wide or trade for my 8.5" wide

I want to run the 7.5" rims all the way around and go back to
225-45-17's all the way around.
I'm tired of offset rims and tires, and resulting
tire costs, not being able to rotate etc.

I'm looking for the exact same style I already have.
I've read some people put the 8.5" front and rear, so if you want to trade
for my 8.5's that would be fine also.

Click on my sig for pics of the wheels.

Are those the HWA1704010102's?

is it possible to run the HWA1704010202's all the way around, or would that royally mess up your turning radius?

Don't know the PN. They are the wheels commonly used on CLK500.
Some folks on the forum are running 8.5" front and rear.

This is AMG style 3 rims right?
If so, I have exactly same rims. I run 225/45/17 on all four.

Doesn't anybody PM anymore? Ha, I gotta seach my threads.
OK, so I'm sure we can work it out.
Get your tires dismounted, that shouldn't cost much,
I pay $5 locally. I'll do the same, I'll PM you my ph # so we can work it out.
I ship you mine, you ship me yours. Done deal.
If you want to exchange pics or whatever we can do that.

I'm gone next week, so no hurry.

Mmmmm....well that makes things more interesting.
Obviously you've been around a long time on the forum, same as me,
so I'm inclined to trust you.

I don''t need the AMG's right now.
My other option is to run the stock C7 rims.
After not having them on the car for a while, they don't look so bad....

So, I'd have to send you the AMG''s after removing the carcasses on them, you'd need to switch tires,
or buy wider ones, remove the tires from the 7.5's and send them to me, hell you could use the same
box. It'll cost about 20 bucks to ship to San Joser.
You could paypal the shipping 1 way, and I'll send a return sheet to stick on the box, I
have a Fed Ex account, send it ground.

I have to ask myself if I like the AMG's enough to do this or just go back to stock.
Hmmmm......
(Hick accent) "Ah no where U live" ha except I don't.
I'll send Ed and he'll throw fish food at you if you don't follow through.
You'll be eatin' with da fishies, ha ha.

Hey didn't we meet once, 2007 the night before the Rose Bowl meet, had burgers in Hollywood?

EDIT: Long time? Hell I just went back and looked, 20.7K posts? Dude.....

Frank,
Do you have any interest in buying 2 rear wheels?
I have the option of buying another set with good tires on the front.
I wouldn't even need to buy tires if they're good.
I'd then have 2 too many 8.5" wheels.

Frank,
You still interested in doing this?
PM me your zip code, so I can get an estimate of the shipping cost.

Looks like it's about 20-25 each way,
Fed Ex ground.

Each pay 1 way, correct?
I still need to get the old tires removed.
I could be ready to do this in say a week.
I'd like to have yours ready, just pull mine out, put yours in the same box,
slap on the shipping label, and drop it off at the Fed Ex pickup spot.

Let's move this to PM so as not to bore everyone.

Frank, my car is on my C7's now, so yes, I would send mine, and you can use the same box to return yours. My tires are down to nubs, so I need to decide if I'm going to just run the old C7's or exchange with you, but I'd like to see a turnaround within a couple weeks tops.
Check your pm please. Send me some pics please...email is in the PM.
you can click my sig if you want pics of the AMG rear.
Or if you want close ups, curb rash etc. I can do that.

I'll pay my shipping to you, you pay return. Sound OK?
I estimated a 60 lb box (30 lbs a wheel? Not sure)
24" x 20" x 20". came up around $22.

Please PM me, and we'll work out the details.
I need to dismount my old tires.

Just passed 140k miles here and going fairly strong. Picked up car tonight with my redone Brabus steering wheel with blue cf trim; it's been away so long, I forgot how whimpy the stock steering wheels are.

As I tell my women, when it works, why change it?
