She looks like a crane driver from one of South Africa's steel plants - Could kick start an A380 Airbus!!
Pleased it all lines up - then it's bolt off, bolt on. The passenger cell on these cars is strong.

Let me reiterate, his hand never touched his firearm, but you could tell the guy was nervous as I was a COMPLETE and TOTAL raging lunatic. I could barely hold back my anger. It was ugly, I had tons of people staring at me, wondering what I was going to do. I had no anger towards the passenger guard, but I could tell he wasn't sure if I was going to go off on him.
Car drives straight, steering wheel straight, no weird noises, even with all the bent metal at highway speeds. Like I said, both doors line up perfectly on top, and close and seal perfectly.

More important - I would insist it go on an MB alignment jig just to ensure it's straight. Hopefully the the truck owner's insurers are paying

Sorry I mis-read, thought I read he had his hand on his firearm (I assumed still in holster). I'd be just like that too though - a total raging lunatic. Did wifey think you were over reacting? Yep, very nice that it still drives straight and all. Hopefully an 'easy' fix. I'd still be pushing for a total re-spray, especially considering how pristine your vehicle is.

Women. Just. Don't. Understand. I will call off a date with someone if they put their keys on my roof. Allows me spare time to buff out the micro-scratches.

Hope you're back on the road in no-time.

While I hate to see her mangled it looks like you are going to get away with 2 doors & trim/rubbing strip replacement. Seems from what I can see in the pics that the front wing/fender escaped damage apart from trim. Alignment at the top of the doors is extremely encouraging. Better than some new. Any sign of distortion at the door hinges? Hope not.

John, if I am not mistaken, I think you said the front corner of the armored truck hit/touched your car. How could the truck driver not see your car. Was your car in her blind spot?
Although you keep your car extra meticulous, it's no match to SO (if you care about SO and the relationship) :-) In the end, it's just a car. .... well maintained car :-). Cherish the moments while IN THE car, not cherishing the car :-)

About six months ago I had a similar (yet more devastating to my vehicle) incident. When a semi rolled backwards on the freeway... onto the hood of my BMW. I look at the bright side... they paid for my Mercedes!

The good news is for you, that you get to keep your car!

Forgive my ignorance, but when something like this happens do you get reimbursed for the huge depreciation that comes with having an accident reported on your carfax? Small claims court?

I hope Oregon has better laws that GA on that one.. diminished value..
I did $9,000 to a $23,500 07 Civic SI Sedan in Jan. 2008. The entire front suspension was ripped off. I hired a diminished value adjuster, arbitrated.. got a whopping $84.

Totally sucks man. Looks like they will need to reskin the door. It can be done and done well, just depends on the shop.
My wife was rear ended in her ML350 about two months after we got it. Totaled the other car and she drove away. It didn't even crack the paint on the bumper. Needed a rear guard and exhaust where the other car went under her all the way to it's windshield.
