Hello guys having some C240 problems
Hello new hear and to Mercedes. Well I just purchased a 2001 C240 for a safe nice commuter car coming from a 92 jeep wrangler yea a big step up.
Well anyways having some problems first I drive 45 miles on the highway and the car runs fine but once I get to the city and get stopped at a long stop light the car just loses all throttle responce, I mean a five second delay before the car revs up. I have to shut the car off and turn it back on and then it runs fine, my guess is a tps sensor or a drive by wire problem. Check engine light did come on but are shop dose not have a scanner that will read MB.
Second problem when I climb long steep mountian passes the car chugs up them like its missing im going to change the plugs this week and see if that helps.
Any info would help really want to get the throttle problem fixed soon I looked on alldata at work and found a recall for the gas pedle sensor how can I find out if my car has had this recall done?
Thanks guys

how many miles? Buy a reader so you can see what the check engine light says we need that to help you. Very cheap investment if you can't get a local shop to help.
