I just bought a 2003 C240 and the lighter is not working, i checked the fuse indicated in the fuse chart #47 but the fuse is perfect has anyone had this prob? how can i diagnose this???

wire may be off mine was green (wire) and it worked sometimes cleaned it up and 100% now

see the stepper motor stickey above it shows how to get to the lighter

stepper motor stickey? what wire? is it under where you push the lighter down or by the fuse box?

You have to diassemble that part of the console - See DIY stickies at start of the 203 forum.

Before you do that make sure the element in the lighter has not burnt out. Check socket for power with a volt meter.
