20FHK02; After driving the C for more than a 1/2 hr [esp. in the city like S. S.F., you should see a difference if the wheels display more/same/less dust as the stockers. Hope to hear of some results soon...

< Brief Report >

I've been driving with the Pagid pads on the front for 3 days. Today I drove a 150-mile 40/60 city/freeway trip and finally had a chance to fully test out the brakes.

1. Brake dust - the brake dust seems less than stock (only slightly more dust than the stocks on the rear), although not a substantial reduction as I expected. But I already forgot the original front stock's "performance" so... :o In short, I can say that I was not statisfied with the stock's dust, while I can live with the Pagid's.

2. Braking power - the Pagids have a lot of brass color metal chips mixed in the pad material, while the stocks are pretty much all "black". According to today's long trip results I think the Pagids have more grip than stock.

IMO, the Pagids are not a bad investment at all, considering their low cost, OEM fitment, and better performance than stock. I may do the Porterfield the next round since they last longer and by that time the version should already have the sensor holes in place.

This is really peculiar. I installed my Porterfields myself on all four wheels, and I know for a fact that BOTH front wheels have (had!) sensors as well as one rear wheel. Don't know if this can be attributed to it being a Euro Delivery car, but it wouldn't seem like that should matter.

Ditto...Porterfields as well, but have since removed the rear pads and replaced with the original pads. C320

If a material was obviously bad for the brakes Pagid would not mix it in the pads. I trust the R&D team at the big names, so don't worry about it.

Did you consider the Textar 'Euro' Formulation pads? They're supposed to have a higher coefficient of friction and produce less dust. Textar and Pagid are all subsidiaries of the same company.....

No I haven't tried Textar. You can try them and let us know how it goes!

I got the Pagids mainly because some members here said they produce less dust and they are cheap!

Textar, Pagid, and Mintex are all made by TMD Friction
