Anyone with AMG Driving Academy experience?

Saw that there's one on my birthday at Lime Rock, and figured who else would I rather spend my time with on my b-day than a bunch of pretentious Euro trash?

The 20% off deal ends on the 15th, so I'm constipating doing it, though it would still be expensive (and worth about 4 HPDE events that I could instead do with my CRX at Pocono/Watkins Glen/Lime Rock over the summer).

Just thought it would be a fun day to trash Benzes that aren't mine, and get some good wiener schnitzel at the same time. If anyone has any experience, I'd appreciate their stories and whether they think it's worth the bucks. Danke.

It's directly on mbusa, it's not a super-duper double-secret coupon.

I haven't talked to anyone that has done it, but I think it would be a blast at Road Atlanta, unfortunately this isn't the year to mention it to the wife. Besides, I would have to have two spots -- she'd want to go have fun too.

Hey Tommy,
I have done two. Pocono and Lime Rock. I would say "no" to Pocono but a big "YES" to Lime Rock. You do no more than 45 mins in a class room like environment and the rest is on the track. It was a lot of fun. But then again. You are a tough customer and have been around. May not be enough for you.

Kind of sad that it took so long for someone to point that out.

Lenin, yeah - that's my problem. I'm wondering if the AMG events are more powderpuff than a true track experience. But judging from the way you drive, if you liked it, then that is definitely a point in its favor.

yeah, I didn't even see that! just like how I didn't even see the 20% off!

man, it's tempting and I definitely want to do Laguna Seca, but I don't like signing up and paying for stuff that far out...

I've done two similar BMW ones, one at their facility in South Carolina and one in their facility in France, but Laguna Seca is a whole different sort of beast. Oh and it's a little more controlled, but I know I definitely feel more comfortable pushing to the edge and beating a corporation's car rather than in my own.
