re-polishing lips...
anyone know a good method of doing this? I've got a set of tsw and my lips are a bit scratched from a bad car wash brush that I used on them...my lips are already polished and the face is painted and i just wanted to bring back the shine to like a mirror. I've used metal polish but that really doesn't do anything to the scratches and does a decent job at shine but still am not getting back that mirror look I once had. Any ideas?

What material is the lip made out of? Chrome or polished aluminum. If aluminum it takes a little work but you can get it looking like new again. (just repeat the original polishing). I've used sandpaper and polishing compound to fix really bad curb rash like it never happened. Aluminum wont melt into scratches, so the only way to get them out is to go 800-2k grit sand paper then polish.
If chrome get your self a bottle of maas metal polish be fore-warned its very strong. Only use it once maybe twice it will fix small scratches but it will also take off an ever so small layer of chrome. My buddy used it on his saleen wheels (Im sure he ODed on it) after a year of polishing with it, his wheels just didn't shine right anymore.
TL;DR, always polish in moderation.
If your really lucky your wheels may be clear coated, if thats the case just use normal paint scratch remover.
If you want a really high gloss shine you can't do it by hand, look into a buffer.

"annoyance" and "self-righteousness", amoung others...
for best results you need a handheld electric polisher. comes with different shapes, sizes, and types of polishing heads/wheels. and some proper polishing compound. then id considering having them clear coated in the future.

yes i do have a dremel and i do have the power ball lol...although the power ball thing doesn't look like it would do much to fix my problem, more of a applying wax or standard polish, not really restore a finish etc.

Don't use a dremel those small pads wear out so fast. You will dmg the rim if you don't pay attention.
Get a kit like this

and it will come out looking brand new if not better.

Wet sanding is the only way to get out scratches.

Here is the way to do it if you have a dremel:

i just bought some sand paper for clear cloat polishing, I assume that should work. and I got some really hard core polish that works great by itself when I do it by hand so I'm hoping it'll do great otherwise

No its for any type of power drill. They work great i have the same kit.
The store is less then 5 miles from my house so its pretty sweet
I would only use a dremel if you have really bad curb rashes on the lips.
