I don't have coilover but I may have experienced the same thing...is your car very rough over the bumps when you applied the brake moderately?? I feel my front end of the car buttomed out everytime i apply brake with moderate pressure over bumps/potholes. It feels like quite a big jolt from the front end (specially the left side), I'm sure something loose from the front suspension. I've checked the swaybars bolts and stuff and they seems to be very tight. I've booked to bring my car to dealer tomorrow, hopefully they'll find out whats the problem and hopefully whatever it is still covered by warranty....I just hope that they won't notice my Eibach springs.

If it's the Carlsson coilovers, contact Carlsson direct in Germany.

The springs should have polyeurathane tubing over the spring coils. The springs are hitting each other, and making the clunking noise you hear

Mine is not only when braking, Everytime I go over small bump the noise came out. the noise is from my front left suspension. I don't think its normal though, I am getting it fix.

Mikekim --> do you mean the spring are hitting the suspension???

No

On the Carlsson coilover kit, there are numerous dead coils on the top, like 5-6 coils iirc. Right where the dead coils start to separate and become active is there they are hitting each other.

The coils are banging together are bumps, and causing the clunking noise.

Here's a simple test you can do. Take some heavy gauge cardboard, and stick them between the coils, as like a separator of each coil. Then drive around some bumps, and see if the noise is reduced. On the Carlsson kit, it will be reduced significantly.

You may have the coilover set to low and the extreme camber is making your wheel hit the coilover... check your clearance between your wheel and the coilover...

I also suspect it's coming from the spring and the ring, doesn't all coilover spring touch the shocks directly?? Is there any other polyutherane tubing i can get other than from carlsson directly?? cos i live in Australia and i don't think they will send some for me, my friend actually suggested some good quality water hose heheheh , btw he used it in his C and work just fine.

Currently i set my CO at the highest position, there is not enough clearance with the wheels to allow me to set it anything lower. I'm getting some H&R spacer (15mm) tommorow and see what happen.

with my H&R coilovers... they supplied some plastic piece that was suppose to between the coils and the rear shock mount. if you didn't have that. then, that will be the reason why its making noises.
