I also have a thing for the birdseye trim. This one is really nice, how does you tranny feel bro?
I can't complain at all brother man. Very smooth, nice amount of resistance on the pedal, no clicks or clunks to speak of. The shifter is short enough as it is. I wouldn't go out my way to buy a short throw. The clutch engagment range on the pedal is also perfect for feathering. Only thing I have it to compare with worth mentioning is my old 02 Camaro w/ the 6 spd T56. That was a one heavy duty SOB tranny but it was clunky, resistance was variable, clutch engagement made it a little difficult to feather, and it would randomly pop out of second gear: had a recurrent problem with synchros.
I see me and this little guy getting along very well.
I will admit the one problem... my 30 minute drive home turned 3 hours when it snowed 5 inches in 3 hours right before rush hour, and there was one point when I was having a horrible time making my way up an incline due to traction (dont get me wrong the whole ride home was awful) and I started losing momentum so I stepped on it a little bit, heard the engine rev but nothing... got frustrated and just nearly floored it. was around 4-5k rpm. i looked... tires werent spinning. my clutch was.
ill forgive it considering the circumstance.

You should because those were really bad conditions, but can you ride the clutch out from a start in second? I don't know about Mb, but BMW reccomends in the M3 to take dsc off in snow.

When I deactivated ESP in my car with the button on the dash in our recent snow storm, it allowed tires to spin freely. It's not completely off, but it is toned down a lot. Please do this if you have issues making it up an incline. ESP completely stopped me on a hill in the snow with the light flashing and the car literally doing nothing. Losing your momentum is not good.

Depends where you live, in queens where I am I see them pretty often.
OK, I checked the Autocheck in the listing. Not sure if it was bought in Dec 06 or Feb 07. Hard to tell. Either way, it might have 1 month warranty remaining at best?
Please correct me if I'm wrong about the terms on the warranty for 2007 models. I just bought my '07 C350 and have been assuming it is just out of warranty.
BTW, Mine came with bixenons and auto trans. I suspect it was ordered that way. Build date and original sale date were both within a month.
