Other than the M6 and the G37 you can't say the lines on those cars aren't sexy. And the M3.. Or the E92 in general.

I'm sure it can't be worse than a Range Rover. My cousin has one and seriously once a month (minimum) it goes to the dealer.

 

The Toyota camry uses more american parts and labor then the Ford 150. So you can't really go off that logic.

Since our dollar is so weak now, most mass volume auto manufacturers now produce and source there parts from american suppliers and plants.

Thats why your starting to see the reliability difference between japanese and american cars becoming more marginalized.

 

The best new audi's are kia's... with the exception of the R8

 

That's cause Kia copies everything from every auto maker

American cars are.. pretty much eh.. outside of the Z06 and the Mustangs. I think if you want real reliability.. that's where the Japanese cars are front runners. Range Rover has fallen off some recently.. sucks the Brits couldn't hold onto it. I always liked the design of those. Your cousin should definitely trade up and get a Benz.

Agreed. To be fair, we get our share on here as well, but it's usually the pre-facelift models.

actually, the new kias are designed by the guy that use to design the past audi's. Its not a copy when you have the original artist.

Why do you think the new kias look like audi's from the outside and inside?

I actually really like the work Peter Schreyer does. Hence my comment that the best new audi's are kias since there his designs.

To be honest with you I don't see an Audi resemblance in the Kias though.

 

LOL if you go off that logic, then Mercedes is copying hyundai because the new generation mercedes are designed by the guy that designed the previous generation hyundai's.

The car industry is so incestrious, you can't really be a brand snob with the designs. They all copy each other. 2003 Camry is boring but you put those same tail lights on a w204 and all of a sudden the w204 is much more aggressive and elegant then the w203.

Designed by Peter Schreyer, former chief designer for Audi and VW, took over leadership of Kia´s worldwide design division in September 2006. I think that Kia is making some very attractive cars since he has taken over. The little Cerato looks a hell of a lot better than a Corolla.

 

Remember that Hyundai & Kia are the same cherbol in Korea although they strive for their own brand identity.

Most of the latest Hyundai designs were done by Joel Piaskowski who has now moved to Benz.

 

Agreed, I really like his styling. Lot of the cars he designed are sporty but still elegant.

The new optima look pretty nice as well. I sat in a kia koupe and the inside does look like a audi, obviously the quality of materials arent on the same level, but if you look at it at a superficial level, it does remind you of audi.

 

Actually i dont really like any of the hyundai designs except for the genesis coupe which is a rip off of the g35 but it seems like hyundai did a better interpretation of the g35 then infinity did. I do love there 2.0L turbo.

Glyn beat me to the bunch. Lot of hyundai's current designs are by Piaskowski, including both the genesis coupe and sedan.

Hyundai and ford pretty much found the magic formula. Just have European styling and not use european electronics and people will buy.
