Throttle Body ? and request for resynch procedure
Hey guys,
I think I am having some issues with my TB. On initial start is the TB to remain at 98 to 99 percent closed? I am having issue with the car not starting. Engine is the M111. I wonder if my TB is toast or if I can just resynch her.
Thanks,
Ed

Can an M111 Coupe guy take off that TB cover and see where your plate is when cranking?
Thanks,

Hey Ed, did you get this resolved? I'm a bit confused with your other thread saying you just purchased a fuel pump, but in this thread you say it is fresh? Maybe I'm reading something wrong. Either way, I do not have the M111 engine, however, I can tell you that a while back, I think in 2009, I was having issues with my TB that were similar to this. The car wouldn't start, and when I took the MAF sensor and connector elbow off, the TB would only open maybe 10% when I would floor it. Now, that was with the engine off, but key in the #2 position, so it may do that normally to prevent the TB from opening all the way while trying to start your car. But the problem with my car was, when I did get it started, and I floored, it would only rev up to MAYBE 2,000 rpms, so I do believe the TB wasn't opening all the way, even with the vehicle running. Anyways, let me link that thread for you so you can see how I resolved it. I ended up having to take it to the dealership where they came to find the "female" pins on the plug that plugs into the TB were loose and somewhat corroded and weren't making full contact with the "male" pins on the TB.
EDIT: Here you go Ed, start at Post #14, the result to the problem in in Post #40.
