i was making a left from 28th (the row) onto Figuroa. I don't know if you've driven down the row yet tons of cute sorority girls, i miss the frat days. Anyways, i was pulling out and had to gun it, which you always have to do there. As i was making the hard left into the center dividing lane, i felt my rear right tire spin, and the car fish tailed very slightly as esp kicked in. After that i had a feeling my tire popped. Sure enough just as i was passing Downtown LA motors(just a mile done the road), i thought to myself i should stop and check my tire. As i'm making the left turn into the mercedes dealer, someguy yells to tell me my tires flat. So i just turned into the service department and got my spare thrown on will i looked around the showroom.

it's fit 235 fine with the 17x7.5 rims. 245, you will need wider rims.

20x8.5 (4) all around, offset 35. for w203, h&r springs.

what do you guys think for tire size?
which brands make those tires too?

my honest opinion is that dubs look too big on any w203. I would say go with 18", but it sounds like you might already have gotten the rims. As far as which tires to get... it will have to be very low profile, so i guess you coulde get some rubber bands...( Just kidding). dubs are a little out of my league, as far as info goes.

20"s will fit with the right tires, but your handling is gonna be hooorrrriibblleeee hehe

From what I was told from my friends in Houston, your roads are terrible, potholes are everywhere....my friends wouldnt dare to put anything bigger than 18".

20" tires are SUPER expensive, not to mention the wheels itself. Are you sure you really want to do that?

i tried putting 20's on my c class when i first bought it... i used a 285/30/20, fit on the back but not on the front, as far as i know the smallest tire they make for the front is a 245-35-20... but i still don't think it'll fit my problem was that the top of the tire would hit the cup of the Macpherson strut... i think Pirelli makes that 245-35-20... good luck, and post how things go for you.

i don't think 20 will fit for the front shocks, you will need to change into a coilover, Pirelli makes 20 inch size tyre, post a picture if u able to fit it in your car

18 is as big as i would go. 19 if it is a show car.

*important note* directional tires - front/back!

You also need to have regular tires, you can't use X rotation if you have directional tires.

Never done it on this car:o It's such a PITA. It's not like these tires are going to last 50,000k anyway.

When I do, it'll be next spring when I put the C7's back on. I have to remember to mark which tire came off which end of the car.

Young, don't your tires have directional tread pattern? Mine do so I can only swap fronts-for-backs while keeping them on the same side.

bwhahaha, they're good... :wipesforehead: i now remember that when i changed them, i asked about the direction b/c i've never had directional tires before. totally forgot about that.

well , keep that in mind when you rotate them, also if you have staggered set up you can't rotate at all (like me ), so your rear tires will go really fast (like mine ) LOL. I need new tires on the E55 and they only have just less than 15k miles!
