help me pick a tire

I have Maya's 19 x 9.5 and having trouble with rear tires rubbing.
I had some Falkens that were great they were 265/30/19 in the rear and they did not rub at all. The tires were not round at all but kinda squarey it was a great tire, but Falken discontinued them. Do you have any tire u would recommend?

he's already having issues with the rear tires rubbing. the PS2's are the best tire out there, but they're HORRIBLE for people with rubbing b/c the PS2's have a more square stance and sidewall (you need more room to clear it).

I would try the Toyo T1-R's.

Falken 452 is great! stretched sidewall appearance and I'm running a 275 with no rub lowered.

Bought Tires From Costco

I was putting off the tire issue until December 20th, when we had a flat right front tire. We were to go away the next day, so it was good in a way that we experienced this flat in our driveway instead of many miles away from home. Especially when you consider that, unknown to us ever, WE HAD NO SPARE TIRE!

MB Service came to change the tire and discovered that we had no spare. He had to jack up the car and leave it in the driveway. I went to Costco with the one rim and got a new Michelin tire put on it. Then my brother in law, who happens to be an automobile dealership mechanic by trade, was kind enough to put the new tire on the car. I took it to Costco and bought the other 3.

We bought this car brand new from a local dealer and other than for authorized MB service, it was never out of our control. The car has some work done on the rear interior panels and that is when, we believe, the tech that worked on the car probably forgot to return the spare.

The tires are fine. We had them balanced inside the wheel, which gives a perfect balance and nice ride. So this is the end of the tire story at least; 4 tires, 6 bills and a happy ride, but now the spare. I will post separately on that.

Sam's club! i priced a set at Tirerack for the wife's car, and
there is only about a $20 difference between pulling in and
having the car done THAT day, or having to wait for shipping.
I prefer to be in and out in an hour. That's worth $20 to me.

The Hunter GSP9700 is THE best way to balance wheels. The local Tire Warehouse has this machine.

Yea i know and I've been all over tirerack. I want to hear from people who have c classes though, see what tire they've had the best experience with. Plus tirerack doesn't carry the tire that I've had my eye on.

with an 18in rim, you'll be paying around $150 for anything good, for Ultimate, expect to pay closer to $200. I'm using BFG KDW2, but in a 19 inch. the cheapest deal I could find was $265 for one rear. I bought them from Tire Rack, when they had a sale. I strongly advise you to get a warranty on the tires, in the event they happen to get a nail in the sidewall when it's getting worn down and nearing replacement

Darn construction!

Has anyone had Federal 595's? Thats what i've been looking at however can't seem to get any feedback because they're used mostly as drift tires because they're relatively cheap, the people who get them tear them up in a competition and there's nothing written about them except really PRish things. Also if the tire is closer to $150 that's OK because i have some friends that can get good deals on tires. Thanks for the info though.

I switched over from very expensive Pirelli that only lasted 10K miles. I got about 25K miles out of the General exclaim and I agreed with everything you said about the tirs. Btw, I might try the new tire called "Invo" made by Nitto but they don't make size 265-30-19 yet. I don't know what the treadwear rated on this tire yet but what I like about it, is that, it the first ultra-high performance tire that designed as an asymmetrical (non--directional tire). Which mean, you can rotate the tire on a staggered ste-up. This is good thing for cars that lowered and usually get wear out first on the inside. By rotate the tires, you get more mileages out of the tires.

i didn't know that..thanx now i know and maybe in the future when i get my car i'll be able to do that...i remeber before i bought speedybenz camber kit the negative cam...lets just say that lots of rubber burned away on the inside and it was a ***** to having to rotate the tires from left to right and right to left and that didn't even chance much cuz the tire still needed to be replace haha...
