Took delivery today of the C320 4matic. LOVE THE CAR. They screwed up the clear bra though, grrr. They are redoing it later this week or next week. This pic is at the dealer. The green intrepid in the background is what we traded in.

here is where they screwed up the clear film, i am making them redo it. you can see bubbling to the right of the headlight, inbetween the grille and headlight.

If I may ask... what manufacturer and how much was the clear bra? Based on your response, I may go for it. I've been considering it for a while.

i got the Venture Tape clear bra. It supposedly is the most "optically clear" and is more resistant to stone chips than the 3M stuff.

 

Nice. I think I may end up getting the bra if a fellow detailing freak such as yourself likes it.

Btw, did they put the bra on the side fender also? I can't see it from your pic.

 

How much did the clear bra cost? Did you get it for your bumpers too?

 

car looks very nice and you can't notice the vlear bra at all. I think you will like this car greatly over the intrepid you traded for it!

 

clear bra was 595 installed. Covers WHOLE front bumper, hood about 1.5 inches past the hood star, leading edge of front fenders, and mirrors.

Clear bras? I have never heard of that.. I must've been isolated in my design studio in the last couple of months. hehe. Looks real slick on black exterior, didn't even realize there was a bra until you said soemthing.must be completely invisible on my white c230. Anyways Alboston, beautiful car you have gotten there. Luvly

 

Most complaints regarding clear bras I've seen have been installed on lighter colored cars. In the past some of the plastic has yellowed slightly after a couple of years, which is much more noticable on white. Supposedly this has been fixed with better plastic quality, but shoot, after a couple of years it's going to be nicked up and need replacing anyway.

The clear bra is something you have to add. It doesn't come from the factory, so yes, it is invisible on your white car.

 

Yes AlBoston has grown big breasts and must now cover them up with the clear bra. :p

 

i heard people talk about that the clear bar will have a problem being that the edge of the film will deposit dirt and will be hard to clean?
