Quote: The best offer the dealership could find on the wholesaler circuit was $1500 which, with the amount still remaining on the lien, was not even an option. So, they will be delivering my reassembled C230 back to my home tomorrow morning and I will try selling it myself on the private market, possibly after waiting a few more months for the payoff to shrink. Won the battle, losing the war...
I still don't believe anything the stealer said.
You should get a 2nd opinion from someone who is QUALIFIED, as apparently the dealer isn't.
Could still just be a sensor or something.

+1
And I'm serious about being interested when you're ready to sell her.

Edgar, since you're in Dallas too, we are going to have to get together! I've already met the Phister (cool guy), and the San Antonio contingent (Hcalvarez, and Wardsweb) I think we need to get a mini meet together

Exactly the way I was going if you did acquire a car.

Just to think that all of this may possibly caused by the dreaded CPS oil leak that travels through the harness and goes to all sensors and even the engine control module, makes me sick.
It happened to my daughters car and it all got replaced under the recall campaign, including O sensors, ECM, harness and th ****ty CPS of course for $0 at an honest dealer facility in MD. The new harness has a new plug that stops the oil migration.
