I need opinions on grilles for w203's

I have seen a number of grilles for the w203 and I just want to hear some of your opinions on them. I have ordered a few parts already for my w203. I have ordered the flat top emblem but for right now I'm just going to leave the oem grill with the flat emblem just to see how I like that for a while.
What I want to know from you guys is, what do you prefer? I thought I saw a members pic on his sig that had this setup but I'm not sure. I think it will look good. I also ordered the clear corners to change the look of the front a little. Just let me know what you guys think about the grille styles. I just want to pick your brains on this subject. Thanks in advance.

Understandable. However, there pretty much hasn't been a grill/star combination that hasn't been tried out now.

Good luck.

While i understand the need to keep things in order around here, i have to agree with the OP, the huge old threads are great but if you post chances are your not going to get a reply. See "Aftermarket Exhaust Thread - All you want to know" i posted there a few weeks ago and 0 replys lol. All good as I've decided to go with just a nice tip.
On to the subject of the thread. I have been thinking of getting a grill as well, but like was stated just about everything as been tried. I guess if people on here have an aftermarket grill they could let us know where to look for one. I've seen a good few on the net, but most look cheap. The one with the big Benz logo looks nice with an in hood emblem. But i was wondering if grills like that are all plastic? Inc the Benz emblem?

unfortunately, eBay is one of the best sources now for grills.

you can also try www.formymercedes.com.

for the emblems, you can try out one of the vendors here, JBSPEED.

Thanks Canadian. But you are right on the money with old threads. I do agree that some look good and some look cheap. Oh well my flat emblem will be here soon so I will post up my pic of my car just to have it on here.

When I had the w203 I went through a few grilles 'till finally decided that the stock grille was best. I did have mine painted black though...and it did go with the 'aggressive' theme of the car. Good luck with your choice.

Yeah that sounds like a good idea. But what color was your w203? Mine is midnight blue and I already have the clear side marker lights ordered too so I'm not sure if the black grille (oem) would look good with that combo. I'm just not real good at visualising stuff. Thanks for your input

You can always just go ahead and get impact strips instead and have them painted. Gary@Suvneer a sponsor on here sells them for relatively cheap.

If you can contrast parts of the car with the black grille i.e. wheels/tint then go that route.

Hector, your car is the one I saw that made me want to go with that set up. Before in earlier pictures on your progress, your car had the flat emblem with the oem grill right? Where did you find that lip at? Your car looks good man. I also have not seen hardly any w203's with the clear corners, at least none really that stuck out to me.

I like Tommy's brabus lookalike grill. It's basically stock grill painted black but the middle vertical slat is cut out.

So it looks like 3 horizontal lines.
