koni shocks/struts and h&r springs
hello,
I recently had koni shocks/struts and h&r springs put on my w203, 2002 c240, and I'm having an issue with the rear of the car tucking. according to stock specification I have #2 pads, 9mm, on my car. the dealer ship offers #4 pads, 29mm, that will raise the rear. are there thicker pads made for other modles that will fit my car? if so will it raise the rear enough to prevent tucking? if not what other options do I have?

Artiemease, received your PM – kindly forgive the late reply.
The rear will come up ~5/8” when replacing #2 with #4 pads.
Mine required swapping in H&R’s estate (wagon) springs to obtain an acceptable ride height and sufficient jounce travel.
Alternatively, it’s possible to also fit a pad beneath the springs to zero in on your preferred load height should the #4’s up top still prove too low.

Splinter - could ya post a side shot of your H&R springs/Koni yellows? I didnt know you used different H&R springs in the rear. I'm more interested in what the front looks like on springs/konis - I think ill be swapping to a similar setup soon.

A sharp technician can R&R pads in less than half an hour.
Do ensure the springs’ ends are correctly oriented in their respective mounts.
Have since removed my former H&R front springs. They are identical throughout the W203 lineup (only the C32’s rears are rate- and height-specific), which resulted in a too low ride height with the additional weight of its supercharger and ancillary components. Replaced them with OE C55/CLK55 springs and 203 320 09 44 bump stops to finally arrive at reasonable wheel rate, jounce travel, and ground clearance compromise.
Retained a ~2° aerodynamically advantageous and esthetically pleasing -to my eye- rake though. additional information
Per request, some pictures of its H&R setup with #4 pads:
