PLX KIWI WIFI - Anyone Here Use One?
I am thinking of buying one of these devices. Displays your cars computer data. Works on the iPhone & iPad.

It looks pretty interesting as you can record your results, read & clear codes, etc. Does anyone here have an opinion on it? Love it? Hate it?

Im sure it would be cool to use the first time or second time.. then you wouldn't even care for it later on. Having a cable plugged in to your OBDII port at all times would just get in the way of my feet. I wouldn't spend 200 bucks on it at all. Would rather go to the strip club.

I tow with my Escalade so I thought it would be cool to use with that too. And theres the fact that I am a tech ****, I just love gadgets like this.
I was hoping someone here had one to give their review.

Thought about that, but I want to use my iPad/iPhone (which always have with me) vs my MacbookPro.
Actually, Palmer Performance made that software you linked to into an app just for the iPad. There are a few different ones for the iPhone too including Rev.

I use it on my C200cdi. I really love it. I use Rev to read out fault codes in my car and sometimes my customers cars.
I it much easyer for deleting fault codes then the huge Bosch touchscreen diagnostic hardware i have at work.
But the gauges have a bit of lag on my car. Don't know why.
So if you like gadgets and/or do engine tuning on your car that makes it jump into safe mode. Buy it!

I have a buddy who uses it for his MB and he loves it. He likes the convenience of being able to use your phone as the information portal. He too is a tech geek, and speaks very highly of this product.

I ended up ordering it last night Tuner Tools & I got a shipment notice this morning. I will let you all know what my review of it is when I get it.
So Frank, do you like it? Looks like you are using REV, tried any others? FuzzyCar? Palmers?

At this time REV only works with wifi or blutooth and requires a different dongle for each. There is software out there for use with a laptop & your cable. See post #4 in this thread for a link to one of the software offerings for your setup. If you want to use an iPhone the KIWI is the best option. Android uses the bluetooth version.
