Need opinions on these rims..

Here you go guys.. I'm considering a 17" amg rep..

And this is my car.. I wonder if it will suit me well. I intend to keep it the way it is, no body kits whatever, just a trunk spoiler maybe.

Or should I get them in 18” chrome instead? Will they fit with 225/45 size tires?

The reason I'm considering 17” is because I don't want to sacrifice ride comfort.. Already have 19” breyton reps on my e46.. Planning to make my w203 a more comfortable ride..

18s will be fine in comfort. I'd get 225/40 in tire size or get 235/40. Chrome is always easier to clean. Just buy some scotch brite from the auto parts store and rub it down. but make sure its the medium or fine scotch brite, they come in sets for like 6 at oreilys

I like them, they look nice and not real common. I really dont care for the chrome though. Here's a pic of my oold car, so I know what you mean about "comfort"!

I was going through the same thing on my C. I so desperately want to keep the ride quality, but at the same time, 17's were just too small(at least for me). After going back and forth with Rollnn and Phister, I went with 19's and COULD NOT be happier. Wrapped in Hankook V12's, I truly can't tell much, if any difference in the ride quality.

I decided to stay with 17"..

Well, at least they're not chrome. It does seem like a lot effort and money to go through to get 17's, though. 18's would have not materially altered your comfort and looked better, but glad you enjoy them.

At least get the rear spoiler, and maybe a grille and/or cf front lip; your car needs some visual interest.

Perhaps I will give in and change my bumper amg style.. Haha..

But I actually tried the 18” earlier (my friend's), but a different model, with 225/40, where I live, its actually a huge difference compared to the 17..

I will post a pic of the roads I have to put up to.. And mind you, these are sub-urban and protocol roads.. They are nasty!

My e46 breyton rep 19” got its battle scar after less than 1 week of usage! Imagine!

Nice wheel choice. I gotta admit I have a little bit of a soft spot for chrome and would have went with the chrome 18" ones. But, I don't blame you with sticking to 17's for comfort.

Thanks guys, already ordered the trunk spoiler. And planning to add the amg bumper later perhaps next month.. The lip maybe...

And well yeah, the chrome is great, but i think i prefer a more subtle polished silver rims..

To be honest, I really really wanted the 18".. But when I first got this car they came with the 17". And I felt the "smootheness" that I've long missed driving around with 1t and 19 sized rims.. And I just told myself "I want my car this comfy and not worry about crappy potholes and awful roads that I have to go through". When I drive around with my e46 on the 18” and 19”, I always cringe and wince every time I try to pass those bumpy roads.. But with the 17.. I ride em like there's no tomorrow and there's not even a scratch! Plus, it felt softer when I bounced Haha..

Ha!!! Lol, I wasn't trying to ruffle any feathers! It's my old ride anyways, but I still do miss her!
