2002 c240 no start
MY 02 C240 WONT START UNLESS I DISCONECT NEGATIVE BATT TERMINAL AND RECONNECT IT. ANYONE HAVE A CLUE ON WHY THIS IS HAPPENING?

Will it crank first or no crank at all? Does it happen everytime and works everytime you disconnect and reconnect the negative terminal? Need more info here..

2002 c240
no start
I replaced the battery and it started. when i went to start it again i got nothing. everything else has power but it doesnt crank. when i disconnect the ground wire at the battery or at the drivers side strut tower it will start everytime, and run fine. but when i shut it off it wont start again.

so everything else has power but it doesnt crank? sounds like maybe a bad starter, but then it wouldnt matter if you disconnected and reconnected the battery...i've never heard of anything like this before, maybe it's some sort of electrical/programming glitch? who knows with all the electronics in these newer cars

forgot to ask have you done anything with your ecu? tune it or anything? cause when you disconnect and reconnect the battery it resets the ecu, so maybe someone did a bad tune on it? if not, then maybe something is wrong with the ecu, how many miles are on the car?

Yeah disconnecting battery resets the ecu, you have one funky ecu right now, probably best way is to get someone with a software and diagnose it for you..
